Chapter 5

Taeyeon felt her legs go weak. "No....please Irene...I love you...I'm sorry....." Taeyeon said weakly before everything went black. Taeyeon fainted and fell to the floor, but hit her head on the corner of the coffee table as she fell. Tiffany rushed to her but it was too late, she had already hit her head and blood was coming out from somewhere behind her long brown hair. "No....Taeyeon...please....you can't leave me...it can't be over....I still love you...SEULGI, COME DOWN HERE NOW.....PLEASE, WE NEED TO GET TAEYEON TO THE HOSPITAL."

Meanwhile

Irene ran into her room and threw herself onto Seulgi, who was sitting on Irene's bed, looking at the pictures Irene had stuck on her wall. Seulgi was pushed back with the force of Irene's hug. She hugged Irene tightly. "Irene, what's wrong?" Seulgi asked, caressing the crying girl's hair. "Seulgi.....th..they were ri...right....I....I'm not her d...daughter." Irene said through her sobs. "What are you talking about Irene? Who was-" Seulgi was cut off by her mother calling her.

"SEULGI, COME DOWN HERE NOW.....PLEASE, WE NEED TO GET TAEYEON TO THE HOSPITAL."

Irene stood up, worried at what happened. Seulgi did the same. She looked at Irene. "SEULGI, HURRY PLEASE." Tiffany yelled as her voice cracked. Seulgi and Irene ran to the living room.

"What happened?" Seulgi asked. "Seulgi, get a towel. We need to go. The ambulance will take too long. HURRY SEULGI." Tiffany said, raising her voice when Seulgi stood rooted to the spot. Seulgi snapped out of it and ran out of the room.

Irene looked at Taeyeon's unconscious form, then to Tiffany, whose clothes were covered in blood. "No....I'm sorry." She said softly and fell to her knees. Her tears flowed down her cheeks and she felt like her world was falling apart

5 minutes later, Tiffany was sitting in the backseat of the car with Taeyeon laying in her lap. She was holding a towel where Taeyeon was bleeding so she didn't loose too much blood. Irene was silently crying in the passenger seat. Seulgi was driving. "Seulgi, please drive faster. But be careful, I can't lose you as well." Tiffany said. Seulgi sped up and said, "Be strong mom. We're almost there."

Once they got to the hospital, Tiffany and Seulgi took Taeyeon to the emergency room while Irene messaged Wendy to come to the hospital. She then followed Tiffany and Seulgi.

Irenes Pov

Taeyeon was in a wheelchair and Seulgi was already rushing towards us with a doctor. Aunt Tiffany still kept her hand on where Taeyeon was bleeding. I looked anywhere but at Taeyeon.

"Good Afternoon ladies. I'm Yuri. How can I help you?" The doctor said. "My friend fainted and hit her head. She is bleeding very badly." Aunt Tiffany said. Yuri began writing on her clipboard.

I knew this process too well. I just had to hold my tears back until Aunt Tiffany had told Yuri my name and how I know Teayeon, then I could go find somewhere to cry. This used to be a regular thing when Taeyeon and Jungmin were married.

Yuri then called a few nurses. "I'll be there in a minute. Hurry, she is losing blood fast." Yuri said to the other nurses, who took Taeyeon away.

"I'll just need to get your details. If you would kindly follow me." Yuri said and we followed her. Seulgi hung back and walked with me. She tried to get my attention but even though I wouldn't mind talking to her, I was also determined not to cry in front of so many people.

We followed Yuri into her office. She then asked for our names and relationship with the patient. "I'm Tiffany, Taeyeon's best friend, this is Seulgi, my daughter and this is Irene, Taeyeon's daug-niece and adopted daughter." Aunt Tiffany said. I bit my lip and felt my sadness and anger take over me again. I couldn't stay in that office anymore. I felt trapped.
