#PrayForPeshawar
Not long ago he lay in a Moses basket
Today he lies still in a casket
The remnants of their existence scattered around
Their possessions piled into a mound
The sound of their footsteps lingers
Blood trickles down their innocent fingers
The warm fingertips that once stroked their mothers face
Now cold and limp, in a wooden case
The cacophony of gunshots ring in their ears
The family cries though no one hears
They where Children! Innocent souls
Which rotten heart lost control?
Their laughter has been silenced
As a result of such cruel violence
Her eyes filled with tears as the gunman came near
She shook ferociously purely from fear
He held the gun up at her, emotionless, unfazed
She shrieked and pleaded, her eyes glazed
He shook his head and stood tall, bigger
Alas, without a word he pulled the trigger
Blood seeped through her emerald jumper
Her eyes rolled back like in a deep slumber
Her brother ran over and placed a hand on her heart
‘I love you sister, we’ll never depart’
Before he could stand the man shot a bullet through his head
Brother and sister, side by side...dead...
One by one the cries had ceased
All around there’s children, deceased
How can a heart hold so much evil?
To partake in such a gruesome upheaval
My mind cannot fathom such an attack
They went to school and never came back....

#PeshawarAttack
Assalaamu Alaikum,
I think a poem is long overdue so I though I'd post this, the attack in Peshawar really hit me hard because the children that was killed were many and it hurt to know that people could have it in them to do this...but Alas, what's done is done and all we can do as Muslims is make Du'a for them sincerely and for their families.
I hope you enjoyed reading this poem and stick around for some more, please vote and comment and also check out 'Here For You' if you like some islamic romance and humour (shameless advertising)
PLEASE MAKE DUA!
