Observing life.

A cyclone of emotion,

Whirling around inside,

An eroded mass of feeling,

Crashing against the tide.

A pain in the chest,

Hidden from all sight,

Feels like a wounded soul,

Falling from a height.

A once joyous family,

Tainted with disdain,

Oh how a life wilts and dies,

Like a plant without rain.

A magnitude of shock,

A sizzling-searing burn,

Mistakes are inevitable,

Though through them we will learn.

A myriad of distant thoughts,

Abandoned and forgotten,

The hate contained within the heart,

Continues to make it rotten.

A flake of snow,

So delicate- so free,

Melts as it lands,

On a crooked maple tree.

I watch as this happens,

Observing all these things,

From the simple beauty of nature,

To the trials life brings.
