Stay Around

If all life on earth

Decided to end

Would you stay around

My dear old friend

When others have failed 

And where you succeed

You would stay around 

My faithful steed.

Your loyalty is just

And is honoured in name

As you would stay around

Despite all the fame

If you ever left

I'm afraid to reveal

I could not stay around

My life I would steal.

Without you I

A deserted soul

Would not stay around

My heart would be coal

And when you returned

To see me alive no more

You would stay around

Until I was alive once more.

And for all your love

And for the tears

You've stayed around

All these years

And when the sand

In the glass runs out

We will stay around

Because love is what

It's all about.
