Getting Called up to the USWNT at 18

Its June 8th and me and Mal have been talking about fostering kids and possibly adopting, we have been in contact with the agencies the past coupl days and today we are going to meet with them, and we might get to start fostering a child today, when we get there we meet the agency women Casey  we sit down and start talking "There is a girl named Jordyn she is 17, just turned 17, she has no where to go, she will be homeless in a couple of weeks, she has had a hard life, she plays soccer all the time at this orphanage, i think she would work well with you guys, how about you guys take her out for the day to get to know her take her out to dinner" Casey says i look at Mal "we would love too" Mal says "okay follow me, she is outback playing soccer" Casey says she go out back and i stand beside Mal "Hey" i say "Ohh, my God its Avery Bennett, and Mallory Pugh" She says she comes over and shakes my hand "Hi I'm Jordyn Smith, its an honor to meet you" she says i smile "You seem pretty good at soccer" i say "Thanks, thats all I do at this place" she says and her smile slowly fades "Do you wanna go out and get something to eat" i ask "Come on you guys are world known soccer players don't waste your time on an oprhan" she says "No we really want to" i say and i smile "Okay sure" she says. We walk out to my car and we get in "So tell me about you" I say "Well im 17, my Mom, Dad, and brother died in a car crash at the age of 8 so I've been in this orphanage and since then I've been playing soccer all the time, it's the only thing I have left" she looks down after she speaks "Hey, don't say that" i say, when we get to the restaurant I get out and Jordyn gets out and we walk inside and we sit down "Order whatever you like" I say to Jordyn "Wow, i haven't ate out since I was 8" Jordyn says. When we order our food we don't talk to much and after we eat we get back in the car and head back to the orphanage and when we head inside I see Jordyn twiddle with her fingers "Hey, i know you just met us but my heart is telling me I can't let you go, how would you like us to adopt you" i say "Are you being serious" she says me and Mal nod "i would love that" she says and jumps in my arms and hugs me i smile and hug her back, me and Mal sign the papers and i look at Jordyn "Do you want to keep your last name, and we have the chance to change your middle name do you want to change your middle name" i ask "I would like to takw your guys last name and please change it to Fleur for the middle name" she says i smile and i change it, after all the paperwork we go home when we get home we show Jordyn her bedroom "You do know we have 13 months twins right" i ask "Of course i do, i can't wait to meet my new sisters" she says i smile and she comes over and hugs me i smile "Well you and Mal can go shopping , I have to go pick the twins up from daycare" I say i get in my car and i drive to daycare and I pick the twins up, i come home and i see Mal and Jordyn are already home i come in to Jordyns room and see she has hung her jerseys up from her stuff from the orphanage and her room is completely filled with sports stuff "When you get done we need to discuss something" i say and wait in the living room for Mal and Jordyn soon they come im and sit down "you are 17 and from what the agency told me is that you already finished school since you were doing online school" i ask "Umm yeah" Jordyn says "Thats good, so you can travel with me and Mal for games with the National and our club teams" i say "really" "Yes" "I was just on the phone with Vlatko and he said you can train with the team from now on, and if he sees potential you can get put on the roster for the future, and are you comfortable with us telling the public about you" i ask "yes I'm proud to be your daughter" She says "Okay" i say I text the group chat
Me:So I have something to tell you
Alex:Ohh please tell me your not injured we need you for the Olympics
Me:No im not injured, me and Mal have been wanting to adopt for a while and today we did, a 17 year old girl named Jordyn her family died at age 8 and she has been in an orphanage since then, and she just connected with us, and she is super smart already done with high school
Tobin:Okay we have to meet her
Lindsey:Yeah I can't wait to meet her
Mal:We are gonna announce on our social media soon

I smile "Well they can't wait to meet you" i say I post on my social media why we wanted to adopt and about Jordyn and me and Mal Post something similar put something in common is we post the saying "Family of 5". I put my phone down and i look at Jordyn "Well we gotta leave tomorrow since the Olympics start next month we are in training for awhile, don't worry we are stopping on the way to the Airport and getting you a phone" i say "Go get packed" i say and Jordyn smiles and goes to pack, me and Mal go to pack too,  2 hours later Jordyn goes into Ava and Willows room and she starts playing with them, i go in there room and stands there, Jordyn not knowing im there "Now, i know you weren't expecting a new edition, but I'm happy im your new big sister" Jordyn says to Willow i smile and i walk over to her "Hey, Jordyn its late we leave early you better get some sleep" i say Jordyn smiles "Okay" she walks to her room "Hey before you go, what do you want for your birthday, since its already passed" i ask, Jordyn comes closer to me "i want you guys to love me, and not kick me to the curb when I turn 18" she says "Hey we aren't gonna do that, we just adopted you today, but we love you" i say and i hug her "Its like I fit in, im Mixed, 6'0 Athletic, its like im really blood" Jordyn says "You obviously got the Athleticness from me" i say me and Jordyn laugh and she goes to her room to go to sleep, i put the twins down to sleep and i go into my room and i go to sleep.
I wake up at 8AM and i look at this big trade that happened in the NWSL
Portland Traded Lindsey Horan to the NC Courage for Debinha, Kayleigh Kurtz, and the 2nd pick in the upcoming draft.
I smile and i text Lindsey

Me:Its great that we don't have to play agianst eachother anymore
The Great Horan:Yeah im excited to be playing with such a strong team.

I see Mal starts to wake up i smile and i kiss her "You get the twins, ill get Jordyn" i say and Mal nods. I get out of  bed and i go to Jordyns room and i wake her up, and i wait in the living room for everyone, once I see everyone is ready we get inside the car "So first stop we need to get Jordyn a phone" i say, and i drive to At&t and me and Jordyn go in and we get her the newest IPhone, when me and Jordyn get inside the car we head to the Airport.

When we land in Tampa Florida we meet the team and i see Jordyn is trailing behind "Don't be nervous, there is nothing to be worried about" i say and we walk up to the team Jordyn standing in front of me "Hi im Lindsey" I look at Lindsey introduce herself to Jordyn and Jordyn smiles and she says "Hi im Jordyn, nice to meet you" the team introduces themselves to Jordyn and we go to the hotel and Vlatko starts talking "As you know, Jordyn plays soccer and I've saw some tapes and i see great potential and i wouldn't doubt her being on this team very soon, i want her to get familiar with this team so she will be rooming with Lindsey, I hope you don't mind Lindsey" i look at Jordyn and she smiles "im good with it Vlatko" Lindsey says i hug Jordyn and me and Mal go to our room.
