I wrote this short one-shot after reading Four Seasons by Nickies on ASIANFANFICS. I wrote this in a fit of ugly sobbing so I'm sorry if there's any mistakes. Please go and READ that one-shot. It was holidays and most idols, besides doing Christmas promos and finishing up their concerts of the year, they were celebrating just like any other family.
The SHINee members were no different; they were reunited at their dorm with their close friends, family and a few staff members. It was a nice reunion, they were chatting and eating. Some of them were watching a game on TV. It was so nice to not be an idol for a day and just spend some time with your loved ones.
Despite the party being fun, Taemin found himself navigating the Internet on his phone. Clicking and clicking on different topics and sites, SHINee's Maknae found himself in a fanfic site.
It's not a surprise that idols read fanfics about themselves, that's pretty common. It's also fun to see how their fans portray these cool concepts for every different story. For example, Taemin read one once about Jonghyun being a serial killer. Kim Jonghyun, the boy who tweets about defending human rights and whatnot, a serial killer? Despite having to stop reading every few minutes to laugh, Taemin found that one interesting.
But, this story that he randomly picked wasn't a fun one.
It was about Minho and him. The boy grinned, fans write about us and they don't even know that we're something. It's always funny for the maknae.
The story started off pretty nicely, Taemin noticed it didn't mention any names but he could tell it was told by Minho's point of view. It was a very romantic story, to say the least.
The thing with romantic stories is that you fall in love with it. Because the love the author tries to portray is so sincere. So undeniably beautiful, that you just wished this happened in real life (not that it doesn't happen to him, Minho's pretty damn romantic). You just want everyone to feel that love, to experience it. Because the way they write it is so real.
“Tae, do you want something to drink?” It was his voice calling from the kitchen. Taemin looked at Minho and he saw the Minho from the story. To say the truth, Minho is really devoted to him.
“Not now, thanks Min.” And he continued reading.
As he kept reading, he almost didn't notice the change of vibe in the story. As he read it in his mind, he couldn't read it with a happy tone like before. As he read a part of the sentence “-because you're weaker.” made his heart beat faster. Taemin suddenly felt sad. He could already feel something bad was about to happen.
He decided he doesn't like this story anymore, but he can't stop himself from continuing it.
Taemin keeps reading, but it doesn't seem to get better. Whatever it is, whatever he apparently has, it's not getting better. Yet Minho is there. He is there. He still holds his hand, he still carry him when he can't do it anymore because he's tired, he's still there when he's cold, he's still there making him smile. Choi Minho is there and it broke his heart when Taemin read the very last part of the story.
“-and silently I hope you are warm there even without your warming machine. Because I still remember you get cold so easily.”
