MN: This is a rewritten version of my oneshot Fly Again. I just wanted to make it better because I wasn't happy with the first one. Please leave feedback?
Still on hiatus. Maybe slow updates in my chaptered stories. Maybe.
Lee Taemin once was a happy sixteen years old. He loved to talk and to listen. He loved to dance and to sing. He's so friendly, he talks to everyone.
Everyone knows Lee Taemin, everyone. And if you do not know the Lee Taemin, then you are out of your mind.
Because everyone knows that pretty doll. The majority of the girls would love to date him, and a good amount of guys would love to at least talk to him.
Even with half the school knowing Lee Taemin, there are only four who actually know Lee Taemin.
Four guys, only four got the pleasure to see the real Lee Taemin. Those four were his brothers-from-another-mother, crime buddies, best friends.
One of them not just best friend, but boyfriend. And just the mere fact that the Lee Taemin was in a relationship, countless of girls sobbed and a spoonful of males rebelled. In Minho's opinion, it was hilarious to see how they begged him to at least have Taemin for a day.
Everybody knows him. Everybody loves him. His friends love him. His boyfriend loves him. Everybody wants him around. It wouldn't be surprising if the school's doors had a sign saying «We love you, Lee Taemin! »
But what happened now?
Lee Taemin is seventeen now. He takes dance lessons. His grades are good, his social life is great. He has friends who care about him, has a boyfriend who loves him unconditionally.
But that's it. He isn't happy.
He isn't sure when his happiness faded away, but maybe it started when his mom yelled at him for no reason.
Saying how dumb Taemin was because he got a 97 percent in Chemistry. Because the Lee's were ‘more than a 97 percent’.
Saying how rude Taemin was, because he wasn't there to help her organize the groceries. Yet she didn't saw how Taemin locked himself in his room studying, and going to sleep at 2AM, just to improve that 97 percent and make her proud.
Saying how dumb and irresponsible Taemin was, because he once stumbled with a mirror and made it fall next to Haneul, his baby sister. But Mrs. Lee didn't saw how Taemin quickly carried Haneul away from the broken glass, and then picked up every shard, making his hands bloody.
Maybe it started when his father lost hope in Taemin, when he started to complain about everything.
“Your clothes are ridiculous, go change! What will my work mates will say when they see my son dresses like that?”
“Lee Taemin, it's the third school party this month. Who do you think you are!?”
“Lee Taemin, you don't even dance that good and the company is having problems. Why you don't quit the stupid dancing and come help me at work? It would be much better for me.”
“Taemin, your mother and I have told you countless of times to not be around that people. Can't you see that Kibum guy changed you?! And that Kim Jonghyun, he's a delinquent! And I won't start on that Jinki guy, since when you're hanging out with older people, huh?!”
Taemin this, Taemin that. He was sick of it.
And maybe it started when his older brother moved out. Taemin doesn't know where he is; he said he would come and get him, but it's been almost a year since he said that and he hasn't even called. Taesun practically left him and his little sister with two persons who doesn't seem to care about them.
