Noah's POV

'Thanks for bringing him back, Noah.' The principal says after Cody and I arrive at his office. 'Whatever.' I reply, rolling my eyes. 'Has he been good to you, Cody?' The principal asks him. 'Oh, yeah! I feel like we're friends already! He bought me chocolate, gave me money for lunch and we're having a sleepover with him and someone named Owen!' Cody replies, smiling. The principal smiles at me and nods. 'So, here are your classes for the first and second semester. If you have any questions, feel free to come by my office, or of course ask your new friend, Noah.' He says, while handing Cody his classes.

(i'm sorry idk how these semester thingy's work, i don't live in america c; )

I walk away and hear Cody's footsteps running after me. 'W..where are you going?' He yells after me. 'Uh..peeing.' I answer, while walking into the bathrooms. 'Oh..ok.' Cody says, while waiting outside. 'Cody, you aren't gonna follow me around like a baby duck all day long, right?' I ask, while flushing the toilet. Cody slowly shakes his head. 'No..but I'll be all alone!' He says, looking slightly scared. 'Welcome to my life, new kid.' I answer, after drying my hands on my shorts. 'But at least you have Owen.' Cody says, following me out the bathroom. 'Actually, no, not really. We don't have any classes together. So, it's just me on my own.' I say, standing still so Cody won't have to follow me around. 'At least let me sit with you in lunch breaks! Pleaseeeeeeeee.' Cody begs. I roll my eyes and nod at him. 'Anyways, let me see your classes.' I say, while snatching the paper out of his hands. 'Hm, we don't have any classes together, except for 5th and 1st period on Monday and Friday. Biology, my favourite class of all.' I say, gagging. 'Well, I guess I won't be all alone after all.' Cody says, smiling. All of a sudden, the bell rings. 'Well, new kid, gotta blast. See ya later.' I say, while grabbing my bag and walking to the history room. God, that kid annoys me. He's like an irritating little brother.

'Dude, tonight is gonna be totally amazing!' Owen says, while getting his third soda can of the day. I simply nod my head and stare at the clock. 'Can we go now? I could've been home ten minutes ago if it wasn't for your soda addiction.' I say, annoyed. 'Oh, you can go ahead if you want. I promised Cody to wait for him.' Owen replies. Oh, looks like I'm losing my only friend to the new kid already. Great. 'Owen, Noah!' I hear a voice say from a distance. Speak about the devil. I roll my eyes and wave at him. Cody comes stand next to us and smiles. 'Can't wait til tonight, guys! I texted my mom to get some snacks while grocery shopping so that's fixed already. Owen, do we need to bring anything? Apart from the standard stuff, like do we need to bring a sleeping bag or anything?' He asks. 'Nope, it's all set!' Owen says, while throwing his empty soda can into the trash can. 'Well, I'm gonna go home now. Bunch of homework to do.' I say, yawning. 'Yeah, me too. See ya guys!' Cody says, while we all walk outside. I start walking the same path I do everyday. Over the bridge, through the extremely busy roads and over some train rails. Suddenly, I catch a glimpse of a person walking oddly close to me. I turn around to see them better, and that's when I realise who it is. 'Cody?! Are you following me?' I ask, slightly shocked of his stalkery behaviour. 'Don't get your hopes up, man. I live here.' Cody replies. 'What? You mean this street? This very street right here?' I ask, almost in disbelief. 'Yep, I'm on number 1.' Cody replies, pointing to a white house at the end of the street. My heart skips a beat. So you're telling me the new people that moved into my neighbours' house is Cody and his family?! Oh for fuck sake, this day just can't get any worse. 'Dude, we're neighbours.' I say slowly, pointing at my house. 'Seriously? That's awesome, man!' Cody says, giving me a high five. I give him a small smile. 'Yep, totally awesome.'
