Fault

Never Taught To Love

Seeing the tears falling,

So you freeze.

Staring at her,

Not one movement.

You blink at her,

You do nothing.

You don’t give her warmth,

You leave her cold.

Hanging waiting for you,

But your stiff.

Your silence,

Your lack of physicality.

Because your past haunts you

Didn’t have a perfect family.

Mother in depression,

Father ripped from the picture.

Both left you,

Deep in the Dark.

Not knowing how to give light,

Because you were never given it.

You don’t know how to light yourself,

So others feel the guidance through the Dark.

It hurts you but leaves you frozen

Not knowing what to do in a situation like this.

You spark no fire to your candle and hand it to others,

You show no empathy for the one who cries Oceans.

Makes you look like a Monster for the suffering,

Yet, nothing is your fault, and everyone has to understand.
