"I know this isn't something to take lightly Hayls, but I wouldn't be suggesting it if I wasn't 100 percent confident that I could do it successfully," Ryder says as he sits on my couch

"Its a lot Ryder, I'm going to need some time to think about this," I tell my brother honestly, feeling like my brain is working overtime to try and figure out what's the right thing to do

"That's fine sis, take as long as you need the offer will always be there," Ryder tells me and places a hand on my shoulder before leaving me in my own thoughts.

I mean how do you choose something like this? I've got a 20 percent chance of it all going tits up and I come out with more damage than what I went in with me, then what, I can't play soccer or be able to move my hands enough to form a sentence?

Kelley and I's wedding is in less than 2 months and Ryder decides to just spring this on me now. I know why he's done it but I could do without the added stress.

Kelley's out right now doing a grocery run for us leaving me alone and with no one to take about it all. There's one person close by that I know will give me some advice.

So I grab my keys and phone before locking up the house and climbing into my car. I drive a couple of blocks down the street and park my car outside her house before walking up and knocking on the door.

"Hey Hayley, how are you doing?" Rachel Corsie asks me as she answers the door

"good thanks Rachel, is Christen in?" I ask her teammate and housemates when she's in Utah

"she's chilling in her room for a bit, just go in," She tells me and moves aside so I can walk in

"Thanks Rach, " I smile at her and walk to where Christen is.

I knock on her door not wanting to interrupt anything and hear a faint come in on the other side. I push open the door to see her reading her book with her glasses resting on the tip of her nose

"Hayley? How come you're here?" She asks me surprised as she puts her book down.

"am I not allowed to come see my best friend when I want," I ask with a smirk in my face only to receive a disapproving one back

"Yes but that's not the reason you're here so take a seat and tell me what's going on," She says patting the space next to her.

I just let out a defeated sigh and plonk myself down, finding myself rubbing my head as I try to figure out a way to explain this all

"Hayley, come on, what's wrong, you're not getting second thought are you?" Christen asks me sounding scared

"Oh God no! This doesn't have anything to do with marrying Kelley, well I guess it does actually but I still want to marry her" I reassure Christen who looked like she was about to pass out.

"then what is it?" She asks me again

"Ryder came over a few minutes ago to tell me something, more like offer me something" I start to explain

"You know he's a neurosurgeon right, he deals with the bran and all its complex workings. Well, the reason he wanted to become one in the first place was because of me." I tell her as she frowns not knowing this

"because of you?" She asks

"Yeah, he said that he wanted to pay me back for everything I did for him when we lost our parents. He wanted to fix my brain problem, that's why he went to medical school so one day he could figure out how to cure my stutter" I tell her, my hands sweating slightly as I wipe them on my jeans
