As we explore the city we talk the whole time, them both filling me in on the team dynamic and asking about what it's like in Man City, Carli said her manager has been trying to trade her to my team sometime this season and she hoping it happens. I tell her it is very different from how the NWSL league runs having trained with the Red Stars for a bit. Before we know it, it's already 4:30 pm and the first wave of people should be heading to the hotel soon.
"I'll tell Jill and the staff about the upgrade but I'm just saying the owner of the building is a huge fan of the team to everyone else," I tell the others letting them know my plan.
"Okay that sounds like a good idea, so how many other building do you own?" Carli asks me
"Good question, let me think for a second. Most of them are in America but I do have a couple in Europe, all in all, we've invested in over 10,00 companies and businesses" I tell them
"Jesus that's a lot," Morgan says shocked.
"most my parents did but I've done about 3,000 since I took over" I say.
"wow, that so cool," Morgan says.
We all back to the hotel and see the staff all waiting in the lobby. I follow Carli's lead toward Jill.
"Carli, Morgan, how are you ladies doing," the British coach asks her players
"Were good Coach, just exploring the city a bit" Carli tells her.
"Hayley Knight, I'm so glad you could make it," Jill says coming towards me and giving me a hug.
"thank you for inviting me, it's an honour," I tell Jill truthfully
"The reception said something about you having the keys for the rooms, what was that all about" Jill asks me
"oh right, well I got everyone and upgraded room, I hope you don't mind we are staying in the suites now," I tell coach a little nervous if I've stepped too far over the line
"Not at all, wow thank you for that" Jill says happily, I relax a little knowing she's not mad at me.
"Its 3 per room now and we've got 12 so I made a list of the roommates of the ones you've already done just to save you some time," I say handing over my phone to let her have a look
"Nothing wrong with these rooms, in my opinion, we'll just wait for everyone to arrive," Jill says, we wait around for about 30 minutes when a group of 7 players come in through the door, I spot Ash and Ali in the group.
"Hayley Knight, oh how I do love you," Ash says coming up to hug me, I just chuckle and hug her back.
"Nice to finally meet you, Ash, Tobin talks about you all the time" I tell her.
"Dude the skateboard you got me, it's insane! I love it so much, best Christmas present I could have asked for" she tells me excitedly.
"Your welcome dude thought me, you and Tobs could go to the skate park sometime," I say to Ash
"Hi Hayley, it's nice to meet you," Ali says to me
"Ali! Hi, your present was okay right?" I ask not sure it was something she liked.
"Oh my God, of course, it was absolutely stunning, you didn't need to get me anything," She says pulling out the necklace I got her from under her shirt.
"Don't be silly, I bought Ask the skateboard I wasn't going to get you nothing" I tell her happily glad she liked it
"Where did you get it from the stone looks so realistic, I thought it was diamond when I opened it" Ali tell me laughing
