At fourteen, Mara Kellett knows two things better than anyone: how to survive, and how to beat anyone in a one-v-one. Most nights, she sleeps lightly in the tiny Rochdale flat she shares with her addicted mother and whatever boyfriend happens to be hanging around that month. Bruises fade. Split lips heal. Cigarette burns don't. Mara learned a long time ago that adults don't protect you - they leave, lie, hurt you, or all three. So she trusts no one. Not teachers. Not social workers. Not foster carers. Only the football at her feet. On the estate, Mara and her two best mates hustle strangers for cash with a battered portable goal and a simple challenge: beat her in a one-v-one if you can. Nobody ever can. Not the college boys. Not the Sunday League dads. Not the cocky academy kids who think she'll be easy because she's small and a girl. Then one afternoon, a crowd forms. And among the crowd are professional footballers. What starts as a street bet changes everything. Suddenly, clubs are fighting to sign her. Coaches call her a generational talent. England wants to build a future around her. But talent doesn't erase trauma, and Mara carries her past onto every pitch she steps on. Angry, defensive, and terrified of depending on anyone, she pushes away every person trying to help her - even the teammates who slowly become the family she never had. But when an arrest drags her back into the care system and threatens to destroy the only future she's ever wanted, Mara has to decide whether survival means staying alone... or finally letting people in.

It's the end of season 2020/2021. At the beginning of the season I, Alix Evan Taylor, made the move from Olympique Lyonnais back to Arsenal. The club where it all started for me. I have played there all my life since I was a little kid. I played there in the senior team since 2014 and transferred to Lyon in 2018. During my time at Lyon, Lucy Bronze and I got into a relationship. I never really knew her before I went to Lyon, but since my move, there was this click between us. It took us some time to figure out we liked each other more than just friends though, right before the start of our last season with the club we made it official.

Ona Battle and Lucy Bronze begin the adoption process, they never expected to fall in love with a little girl everyone else had given up on. At just four years old, she carries the invisible scars of severe neglect and a lifetime without stability, comfort, or love. Labeled as difficult, unpredictable, and impossible to place, she struggles with overwhelming emotions that no one seems able to understand. While social workers see only another failed placement waiting to happen, Ona and Lucy see something different: a frightened little girl who has never learned what it means to be safe, wanted, or part of a family. As they fight to earn her trust, they discover that some of the behaviors everyone fears may not be what they seem. Together, they begin a journey of patience, understanding, and unconditional love that could change all of their lives forever. For this Story you're just gonna have to imagine that Ona plays for Arsenal. I'm open for any kind of ideas just comment in the parts and I'll read them.

*EDITING* "Hey birthday girl" she said, wrapping her arms around me with the envelope still in her hands. "Hi Le" I said back to her "There's some other presents for you after but I wanted to give you this one now, with everyone" She said handing me the envelope, I looked up nervous as I started to open it. Once I had it open I looked to my side to see Viv and Beth both giving me small smiles encouraging me to open it. I took the piece of paper out of the envelope and opened it. Adoption papers. With my name on it. Leah wants to adopt me. I looked up at her tears welling up in my eyes. "So what do you say, can I be your forever family?" She said nervously. "Yes please" I said, tears streaming down my face as I jumped into her arms, the rest of the girls joining in and giving us a group hug. Start date: 08/09/2023 End date: 17/09/2024

Drusilla at 26 isn't extraordinary in the way the world usually measures it - fame, money, headlines - but she is extraordinary in the way that actually matters. She has built a life around surviving, adapting, and refusing to let anyone else define her limits. ADHD, Autism, and non‑epileptic seizures aren't footnotes in her story; they're part of the architecture of who she is, the rhythm she's learned to move with rather than fight against. And through it all, there has been football - the one constant since she first stepped onto that pitch at age ten.

Valentina Addington: the Goddess of England. Alexia Putellas: La Reina of Spain. Two formidable midfields that has shaped a generation of football. On the pitch, they were unstoppable, reading the game with impossible clarity, bending matches to their will, and meeting each other time and time again. They know each other's strengths and weaknesses. But what happens when the boots come off and the stadium lights fade? What happens when Valentina and Alexia are no longer icons, no longer leaders, no longer legends just two women sharing a single night where nobody expects perfection? Stripped of the pitch, the pressure, and the personas the world demands of them, they discover something neither ever anticipated: a connection that feels startlingly real. A bond that doesn't care about borders, rivalries, or the weight of a nation's hopes. A bond that might just be stronger than football itself. For one night, they aren't the Goddess and the Queen. They're simply Valentina and Alexia.
