Star Waleborn grumbled something under her breath as she stumbled into someone as she walked out of her door to leave her house.
"What the-" Star froze as she examined the random stranger at her front porch.
"Oh, sorry," The girl said, backing up some and fiddling with her shirt hem, which was untucked underneath a plate of chest armor. The girl was wearing silver armor that looked like she had been dragged through dirt or something, and had her long black hair up in a high ponytail.
"Who are you? Are you cosplaying as someone or something?" Star questioned, frowning.
The girl cocked her head to the side and said with a slightly heavy accent, "Cosplaying? What kind of sorcery is that? I've never heard of it in the library before."
Star rolled her eyes, "Alright, what the heck do you want, I don't even know you, dude."
The girl scrunched her nose and said, "Do you even know who you are talking to?"
"Oh my god," Star grumbled, and pushed past her, "Listen, dude, I have places to be, I don't have time for whatever joke-"
"Excuse me," The girl interrupted, "But this is no joke! I was taken from my world, by some sort of wind, and I think a sorcerer is behind it."
Star stopped and rubbed the bridge of her nose with a sigh, "What did you say your name was?"
"I didn't say, but it is Alex Quinate, princess of Jadest."
"Princess?" Star raised a skeptical brow but they both were interrupted by a loud popping noise next to them and something crashed into a nearby bush out of nowhere.
"Jay!" The person shouted frantically, climbing out of the bush painfully.
"What the hell was that!?" Star exclaimed, "Why do you have to go appearing and messing up my front yard dude?!"
The girl, at least, Star thought they might be one, looked around where she was with wide eyes, muttering something under her breath before whipping around to face the other two.
"Where am I? Where's Jay? What do you want from me?" She snapped, a metal blade quickly coming from her sleeve as she held it in front of her defensively.
"Holy Hera, what's with you?" Alex asked taking a few steps back but then tripping over someone's body that had just appeared there.
"OW!" They shouted, "Get the hell off of me!"
"Sorry," Alex grumbled, getting up and then offered the guy a hand. But he didn't take it and took a quick look around, "Uh, where am I? Who are you guys? What planet is this?"
Star watched as two more people appeared in her front yard; one wearing some sort of funeral attire, and the other a baggy shirt and some jeans.
"WHERE AM I?!" They both shouted at the same time.
Star heard the guy next to her curse loudly as another person appeared right at his feet and he jumped back.
"STOP APPEARING IN MY FRONT YARD!" Star yelled watching another person appear in the sky and land right on top of her car, setting off the alarm.
"What is that blasphemous noise?!" The princess yelled, covering her ears.
The others started to yell over the noises in panic and confusion, and Star turned off her car alarm as the person on top of her car climbed off.
"ALRIGHT!" Star yelled, getting everyone's attention, "GET INSIDE MY HOUSE RIGHT NOW AND STOP WITH THE YELLING!"
Hesitantly everyone listened, though some people had some sort of weapon in hand and the ones in "normalish" modern-day clothes on led the others into the house.
Star corraled them all into her house, and closed the door behind her, trying to gather her thoughts.
"So does anyone know what the heck is going on?" One of the teens asked. Well, technically they were all some sort of teenager, though some looked older than the others, but this one actually looked like one.
Everyone shook their heads and some muttered their "nope"s.
"Okay," Star said, "Don't touch anything, and I think I know what's going on. Stay here."
She then pushed through the small crowd in her living room and walked into a hallway towards her workroom.
She closed the door behind her and quickly gripped her hair, turning around in a quick circle while trying to remember where she had left the thing she was looking for; also trying to wrap her mind around what was happening.
"I can't believe this is happening right now," She muttered to herself, going through her filing cabinets. She cursed to herself, remembering that she was just about to go to something when all of this happened and took out her phone.
"Call Elise Waleborn," She told her phone.
Her phone started to go off, calling Elise, and Star put it on speaker as she answered.
"Hey, what's up?" Elise asked over the phone.
"It's happened," Star said, giving up on the filing cabinet and going to search some boxes in the closet, "The prophecy."
There was a brief silence over the phone until Elise said, "So I'm guessing you aren't gonna be able to make it for the dinner?"
Star pursed her lips and said, "No, sorry, babe. You can still go if you want, though. Invite someone else maybe? I don't want to ruin our anniversary because-"
"Don't worry," Elise interrupted, "You aren't ruining it. Also, I think I put the stuff in the attic. I thought we would have more time."
"Attic?" Star questioned, sighing, and then remembering that must have been why Elise had been spending a little extra time up there than normal.
"Mhm, yup. Listen," Elise said, "Just remember not to kill anyone, make sure they don't kill each other and stay safe okay?"
"Don't worry I will," Star said, "Love you."
"I love you too," Elise said.
The call ended.
Star sighed, pocketing her phone and the rushing out of her room and breaking the tense awkwardness in the living room saying, "Who here is strong?"
Three hands went up, including the princess, and she told them to follow her.
"The rest of you, stay," Star commanded, hearing someone grumble something as she left to go to the kitchen.
She pointed to the tallest one of them, about a head taller than her, who was wearing some sort of spacey outfit, like from Star Wars or something, and said, "Name?"
"Uh, Alex," He said frowning, "Why?"
She gestured towards the other, who was wearing some sort of karate/armor, and Star remembered that was the one who crashed into her bush and asked for her name.
"Alex Barv," She said uncertainly, "You can call me Bar, though."
"Alright," Star gestured towards the princess, "You got a nickname?"
"Moon?" The princess titled her head to the side some, "Is this why you pulled us away from the others?"
"No," Star said. She then pointed right above her where the opening of the attic was, but she couldn't reach the button to bring down the ladder to get up there.
"Alex," Star said, but she got all of their attention, and then rolled her eyes. She poked the guy's chest and said, "I'm calling you Al."
"Al," She continued, "Push that button and step back."
Hesitantly he obeyed and Star pushed them back so that the ladder could come down easier.
"Alright, follow me up here, I need you three to help me grab something."
Star climbed up into the attic followed by the three uncertain and confused Alex's.
