Avni saw MaNan sitting under the olk tree in the back lawn talking something. Avni figured it out that it was their ritual. Every night they would go and sit under it and talk for hours. She found it romantic!

She just turned from the balcony and walked to Raj and Neyonika's room. As always she banged the door

"When will you stop doing that!?" Raj said opening the door as Avni entered the room ignoring him and went and laied besides Neyonika and cuddled to her

"Kya hua?" Neyonika asked creasing her hairs

"Woh few days back Maa was talking about her parents" Avni said

"Dadi why didn't her father gave permission for their marriage?" Neyonika said

"They didn't find Manik as a best suitor for her" Neyonika said

"Aapne nahi baat ki unse?" she asked looking at Neyonika when she felt Raj sit besides her

"Nahi. He never entertained us. Manik ke liye sirf Manik ke liye I went to Banglore to personally talk to him, but Nandini's elder uncle, he was so rude. Asked the watchman to not let me enter and her Appa didn't even meet me. Heck I don't know how he looks or anyone from Nandini's family" Raj said and Avni turned to him

"Maa didn't showed you their pictures?" she asked him

"Nandini don't like to talk about them, I am suprised she told you about them" Neyonika said

"And Dad he didn't try to convince them?" she asked another question

"Let me tell you something" Raj said talking her attention

"Manik has this big ego Avni" he told her

"But for Nandini, he went to talk to her family, they didn't let him in their area also, once toh her brothers hit Manik. Then he eloped with Nandini. After few months of marriage he took her back but the guard stopped them and told them that some shradh was going on and the family has asked to not let anyone in. Nandini was so heart broken but when Manik asked who passed away the guard said ki the family's elder daughter, Nandini" Raj paused

"Apparently, he was a new guard, when Manik was successful is eloping Nandini they fired all the guards and recruited new ones. So he didn't know Nandini"

"Nandini was so shattered after that, I still can't get her image out of my head when she returned" Raj stopped

"Manik was so furious, he sweared he would teach them a lesson but Nandini doesn't like their mention even, so Manik is careful not to talk about her family. Yes sometimes she talks about them but then no one forces or asks her samne se" Raj told her

"Aage se don't ask her samne se she gets gloomy Neyonika told her. She just nodded and slept

A few days later Avni was playing with Nisha with the frisbee in the back lawan when the frisbee landed near the olk tree. Avni walked to collect the frisbee, as she reached below the tree the olk showered her with it's white flowers making her look up suprise and she smiled. She took the frisbee and went away.

"Why can't you guys perform at Aaghat?" Avni asked she was sketching something and the others took break from practicing

"Didn't you read the rules?" Arav said sitting besides her and saw she was sketching a tree

"What rules?" she asked not looking up from her book

"That say that we cannot participate" Vibhuti told her and she looked up and frowned
