Manik and Nandini were meeting few clients when Manik saw Murtys standing at a distance.
"Nandini" he said and Nandini looked at him from talking to Mrs Sethi
"Woh Mukti wanted to tell you something... Uss ne bola ki tumhe waha behj du..." he said pointing at Mukti at the other end
Nandini frowned and looked at Mukti
"Abhi? What did she wanted to talk abhi..." Nandini asked him
"Aab mujhe kaise pata hoga?" Manik shrugged
"Abhi Manik..."
"Arey hoga kuch... Tumhara gift hoga..." he said and her eyes twinkled and she turned to go to Mukti. Taking a sigh of relief Manik took his step towards the Murty's. Two steps and he heard
"Manik..."
Followed by an "Amma"
Manik turned to see Nandini turning towards Avni
"See what Abhir did!" Avni whined walking to Nandini and turning her more to face to her and away from Murty's.
She glanced tensed at the Murty's direction which to her unawareness was seen by her father. Manik fist his palm looking at Avni who viable now looked tensed. He marched towards them
"Uss ne... uss ne yeh drink gira diya mujh pe..." she said making a puppy face.
"Chalo Amma... I don't want to stay here... Mujhe ghar jana hai" Manik heard her and if he had not know he might have believed that she might cry any instance
"Arey don't cry baby" Nandini said and saw Abhir passing eating some starters and called him
"Arey yaar Chachi main ne kuch nahi kiya... Yeh jhoot bol rahi hai yaar" Abhir tried to make Nandini understand but Avni countered
"Jhoot yeh bol raha hai Amma... Caterpillar kahi ka" Avni said
"Caterpillar?! Yeh kaisi insult hai?" Abhir rolled his eyes asking her
"Caterpillars ko dekha hai din bhar khate rehte hai aur sote rehte hai" Avni said keeping hand on her waist
"Yeh kya faltugiri hai... Main ne toh..."
"Champ argure mat kar" Manik said cutting him and Abhir glared at Avni
"Jaan go meet Mukti then take her back home vaise bhi function is over... We will also come in sometime" Manik said and turned Nandini deliberately away from the Murty's direction again.
"Accha thik hai..." Nandini said
"Yahi ruko tum..." she told Avni and then look both Avni and Abhir and said "Aur ladho mat" she warned them and left and Manik gestured Varun to follow her. Varun nodded and trailed behind Nandini to make sure she doesn't bump in any Murty.
"Yaar Chachu iss snake par vishwas mat karo... Angel jaisi dikhati hai par she is pure devil..." Abhir said and Manik was just glaring at Avni
"Baba... Main sach..."
"How do you know? Did you knew all along?" Manik asked sternly making her stop blabbering. She looked at Manik who turned to the Murty's. They were looking at him now and turned again to Avni asking her to answer just with his eyes. Avni hid behind Abhir the next instant
"Bhai" she whispered to Abhir
"Chachu..." Abhi tried to defend not even knowing what she did and Manik glared hard at Abhir making him shut. He held Avni's hand and took her in front of Manik but stood by her.
