Avni looked at the watch in her hand and then looked around. Currently they were standing in their neighbors' lawn all dressed in a ripped jeans and black vest, red and black check shirt, casual much? But she didn't care. The host were nowhere to be seen.

"Ten minutes in and I hate this party already" she said

"Di stop being Manik Mamu" Mahi said

"Stop saying to stop being Manik Malhotra" she scrowled at them

"You" she pointed Mahi who was eating the starters

"You" she pointed Samar who adjusted her glasses

"And You too" she pointed Abhir who was stealing starters from Mahi's plate

"I agree what a boring party aur host kon hai be" he said filling his mouth with starters

"Hai na boring sa kahi ka slow music, formal log, formal clothes, formal greets" Mahi said

"I second you" Samar said making a bored face

"You know what, I want food" Avni said and made way to food counter

While walking she felt Nandini besides her, she looked at Nandini who was matching Manik, she was wearing a white blouse and a blue skinny fit jeans

"Tried now" Nandini asked

"Very" Avni said looking uncomfortable

"What's wrong?" Nandini asked her

"It's just Dadu knows I don't like to be among strangers and from past few days all I am surrounded is it with strangers and I feel suffocate and akward and..." she stopped as soon as she saw Nandini's expression changed and then remembered what she said and closed her eyes

"Listen... I mean I don't mean...I mean is it's difficult ok. I was leaving in this happy place, knowing I have this big family loving me caring for me one day I land at my house to know it's all a lie, it's all an illusion. I... It's...are you getting it...."

"I get it" Nandini interrupted her

"It's fine" she said but Avni didn't missed a tinge of hurt in her voice

Avni looked in her eyes to see hurt love and worries. Yes Nandini was worried to see her fifteen year old

"Want to have a drink?" Nandini asked her

"I am not legal age yet" Avni replied her

"I wasn't talking about alcohol" Nandini said and dragged her to the bar counter

"One Raspberry Mint Limeade Mocktail for me and Sparkling Cranberry Lime Mocktail for the lady" Nandini said taking her seat at the counter and Avni saw the bar tender giving her a second glance

"Sure Ma'am" he said and started making their drinks

"Vaise your pearl ring shines as bright as your smile" he said smirking making both the ladies roll eyes mentally

"You can have a cocktail, I don't mind" Avni said taking her seat besides Nandini

"Oh I don't do alcohol" Nandini said waving her hand in air and the bar tender smiled at her. Avni then observed him, he was someone in early twenties, tall, dusky and good looking.

"That's cool a sober fun loving girl is always attracted" the bar tender commented as Avni leaned to Nandini

"He is flirting" she sang in whisper to Nandini

"I know" Nandini replied in the same tone

"Here are your drinks Ma'am" the bartender served them giving Nandini an extra sweet smile
