"Did you have your meds?" Nandini asked over the phone
"Uhan" Manik nodded while walking to the bakery
"And ate on time?" she asked
"Yes" Manik said while crossing the road
"And now you will sleep on time okay" she instructed
"Nandini main baccha nahi hu" Manik chided
"Okay" Nandini said "Bye" she added and hung up.
Manik made a face and pocketed his phone while entering the bakery
"Hello Sir" he was greeted in Spanish. Manik greeted her back and ordered a breakfast
With his two croissants, a coffee and two cheese chicken sandwich, and two pastry - one chocolate and one vanilla with strawberry, Manik left and then sat on one of the bench near the fountain and started to eat. Sometimes Manik loved when people didn't recognise him and he can just be.
He finished everything. It was his cheat day anyway so he won't be keeping any limits today.
When he was done he checked his pocket for his medicine but then found nothing. He frowned and checked it again. Then realised he didn't have his BP meds.
Fishing out his phone and called Nandini
"Yes Manik" she said as she was reading, sitting on the bed.
"Umm what is the name of my meds?" he asked scratching his forehead with his finger
"Tumne toh bola you took it" she said closing her book
"I was going to. I was having breakfast" he reasoned "No I don't find it. Maybe it fell" he added cutely
"Help me Jaan" he said trying to sound innocent as he can
"Why? You are not a baby. Help yourself" Nandini said and hung up
Manik stared at his phone and when he was trying to figure out what to do his bodyguard came and handed him his meds
He frowned first but then realised Nandini must have asked him
"Thanks Jake" he said and had his meds. Having the rest water he closed the bottle and called Nandini again
"What Manik?" she sounded irritated when she answered
"I love you" he sounded cute and it made her smile but she pretended not to faze
"Why? Baby Malhotra found his meds?" She asked
"I said I love you" Manik whined
"I don't need your I love you" she said in fake anger
"Sorry" he said with a pout walking to his office
"I don't even need your sorry" she said in the same tone
"Then what do you need?" Manik asked
"I need nothing from you" she said and hung up.
Manik frowned. They both sucked when they shared distance but this was important. Manik had to stay for one more week and then he will go back home.
He checked his watch and then texted Mukti to call him and entered the office.

"Oh ho Nandini aise tum Manik se hafte mein do teen baar naraz ho liya karo" Navya said as the massage lady massaged her back and neck.
"Haan hume bhi free Spa day mil gaya" Aliya said sipping her juice and Nandini just sat there on the chair relaxed with a pack on her face and arms and cucumber on her eyes
