inhaling the fumes of reality
slowing getting high on the pain and loss of life
im losing control
ha ha ha
but i like it
your smile, it drags along my skin
in swirls so deep and longing
i got hurt before
but now im simply drowning
in the depths of ancient promises
filling my lungs willingly for all i know
can i escape it
the bitter chains of what came before
entice me into the abyss
that smile, it drags within my memory
but it never reached your eyes
ah how many people i would
take off the face of the earth to hear you
whisper in my ear once again
because those lies became my reality
and those sweet everythings became my addictive pain
your fingertips took me places beyond the realms of consciousness
the savour of the sublime at the tip of my tongue
the experiences had when a soul is too young
i want you to slowly encompass me until there's nothing left
cover me like volcanic ash on the island of intoxication
that smile, it whisked me away into a utopian dystopia
where we could manifest in our passion and possession
until the damage had left beautiful ruins of once was majestic
deeper
deeper
deeper
into chaos
can i escape it
do i want to?
