How is it that
Time
Runs so lethargically
In the moments you
Need it to run quickly
For you

And why do the
Best moments
Disappear quicker
Than they come
To greet you

At this point I can't
Even rhyme
But just rant
About time

And it's twisted
Effects on the frailties
Of my mind
Casting a ray of hope
That I know I
Won't find

As it progresses
We turn more into
The savages we thought
We'd left in the past

And every great
Achievement highly esteemed
By those who hold
The strings, won't last
