Nikola's Point of View
The entire room turned ghost-quiet when the clandestine tale of my father was decrypted. Lahat kami'y kapwa mga tulala at tila itinitiim pa rin ng aming mga isip ang nadinig.
We all didn't expect na matagal na panahon na pala kaming hindi alam na mayroon palang lihim sa amin ang mga magulang namin.
"Our father was just forced to marry Tita Valentina that time. May iba po talaga siyang gusto noong mga panahon na 'yun."
"Nakwento niya din po sa'min dati, and he said he'll refuse that offer no matter what. Our father told us that he saw the love in your eyes, and he didn't want to be the hindrance in your fond with each other." The Villesiá siblings justified after hearing the tale of TeDa.
Actually, me and my siblings were all clueless with this story. Ni isang letra ukol sa kwentong ito'y wala kaming kaide-ideya.
"No worries, Villesià's. Matagal nang naayos ang ugnayan ng mga pamilya natin. Lalo na ngayong... tinutulungan niyo kami ulit sa ganitong bagay." SaMo responded and then displayed a smile in her pleasant face.
"Sabi... sabi niyo po bawal magsinungaling? B-Bakit hindi niyo man lang po sinabi 'to sa amin? Buong buhay pala kaming namuhay sa kasinungalingan tungkol sa impormasyon sa'yo TeDa." Our attention was caught up when we heard Ririe perplexedly questioned.
I know... she's craving for answers now.
I saw how our parents knuckled under as if they were ashamed in what they've done. "S-Sorry, Ririe. Lahat kayo... patawad. Alam kong mali ang nagawa namin. We... just wanted to protect you and also... we're afraid if-"
"From what, TeDa?" bahagyang tumaas ang boses ni Ririe, and thanks to Kairo, he alleviated my sister.
"Na mapagpiyestahan ng tsismis, protect you from drowning to indigence, at natakot kami na... i-itakwil o ikahiya niyo ako dahil h-hindi ako taga-dito." And with that queue, tears spawned from TeDa's eyes.
Seeing your parents cry is a serious symposium, iba ang sakit na madarama mo.
"L-let's just sleep now... malalim na ang gabi," SaMo changed the topic at inaya na si TeDa na tumayo at pumasok sa isang kwarto. Fortunately this condotel was huge enough to accommodate us all. Mayroon itong five bedrooms with a capacity of two persons per room.
"Tol, tabi tayo." Pag-aaya ni Kuya Steph sa kakambal niya kaya agad naman itong tumango. Sumunod ang magkapatid na Villesiá at sila Iza na pumasok sa kwarto.
