Bria's POV
I heard the doorbell ring
When I got up to open the door, I saw someone I didn't expect to see.
"Hey"
"Hey!" I replied
"I hoped you'd be home."
"I'm glad you came" I said
"I'm so sorry. I can't believe I let it go so far." I blurted out
"It's okay Bria, your hands were tied. and I forgive you."
"You do?" I asked
"That's what best friends do, isn't it."
I felt so happy that she still considered me to be her best friend
"And we lost enough time, let's just move forward yeah?" Kiara said
"Yeah." I said breathing out a sigh of relief
"Maybe you could start by letting me in?" She said sarcastically
"Sorry" I laughed
I let her in, and we started walking up to my room
"So how's my favorite girl been?" She asked me
"Well you know, I'm okay. Same old same ol" I replied
"I wasn't talking about you. I meant Jade." She said giggling
"If you weren't talking about my daughter right now, I would be totally offended." I said smiling
"And she's good, learning more bad words each and everyday." I said sighing
"Yep, that's my Jade." She laughs
"I just don't get it, she adapts to when I read to her, she sings her abc well. But what she adapts to the most is the bad words she hears. It's like she loves them." I say
"I mean, she is the daughter of a gang leader. Soo" She said
"You have a point." I replied
"Oh! And she has her christening coming up. You're just in time." I added
"Ooooh yes! When's that?" She asked
"It's tomorrow afternoon." I said
"And the dress code for the guests is white, while you and James are gonna wear blue" She said
"How did you know?" I asked
"Bria, you planned your baby christening since freshman year." She said
"Oh yeah." I smile sheepishly
"Oh I gotta call Kevin. I completely forgot." I said
"Ohh okay." She said with a weird look on her face
"What the hell was that?" I asked
"What the hell was what?" She asked me innocently
"I saw that Kiara." I said
"What?"
"Is something going on between you two?" I asked
"What do you mean?"
"Kiara!"
"What?"
"Okay, you'll tell me when you're ready, fine" I said rolling my eyes
"There's nothing to tell" She said giggling
"Yeah sure ." I said

Just then, a few of James' men passed
"Do the men always come here everyday?" She asked me
"Only when James is working from home." I said
"He's around the back somewhere." I added
"Okay"
"Speaking of James, we went house hunting yesterday."I added
"Really? That's so exciting" she asked
"Yep."
"Oh, was that your idea or his?" She asked me
"It was his, he said he wanted to buy me my dream house." I said blushing a little
"Aawww."
"Okay stop, you're gonna make me cry." I said
"You've gotten soft on me best friend. You must really love James." she sad smiling
"I do." I said
"It's either that, or.." she said then stopped mid sentence
"Or what?" I asked
"Or there's about to be a James jr up in here." she said
"Um no." I said bluntly
"Mhmm mmh" she said lowly
"There's no way I'm pregnant." I said
"When was your last period?"
"Um, it was..." I stopped to think
"Sounds like a pregnancy to me." she said interrupting me
"Do you really think I may be pregnant. The thought didn't even occur" I said
"You think you're pregnant?" I hear James say from behind me
"Um, I...don't know. I just..."

I couldn't even structure a proper sentence

"She just got totally emotional on me over here, and then I asked her when her last period was, and she couldn't answer. So she doesn't really know if she is pregnant, but she could be." she explained to James

I gave her a thank you smile in return

"You're both welcome" she said giving a bow

Such a drama queen

James walked over and kissed me on my forehead

"Do you want another baby?" he asked me

"Do you?" I returned the question

"I wouldn't mind a little James jr."

"I mean, I'm just nineteen, I know I'll be twenty in two months, but wouldn't that make me a baby machine?" I asked

I know it's a stupid thing to say, but with James' and I relationship, there are no boundaries. We say anything, no matter how stupid or silly we sound.

"Because you'd have two kids close in age? Or because you have two kids before reaching twenty-one?" he asked me

"Both" I said

"Babe, it all depends on whether or not you think being a baby machine is positive or negative for you" he said

"You're right. Ughh why do you always know what to say?"

"I'm just great like that." he said giving me a wide smile

Kiara then cleared her throat

"I'm still here." she said in a small voice

"Oh didn't see you there." James said teasingly walking towards the door

She stuck her tongue out at him when he turned his back

"You know I can see you right." he said

"Do you have eyes in the back of your head?" Kiara asked him

"Nope, but there's a mirror right here in front of me." he said laughing

"Oh shit." she said, embarrassed.
