That is what I kept repeating. Both mother and daughter both unconscious and sprawled across the floor of the ICU.
I was so shocked that I don't even realised when the nurses rush to help them nor did I realized when they were rushed to the ICU. I truly and really regret dropping such a bombshell to them I should have waited, I should have.......
My thought was interrupted when one of the nurses shake me back of present. ' Doctor your are needed ' , Said a nurse I don't even recognised.
Without any more stalling, I followed the nurse to the ICU where both Noor and Ummi are getting treated.
Noor is unconscious but her condition is stabilized using a regulator because she is asthmatic. But the real tension and problem is Ummi . So I quickly went over and find Dr. Yankwashi in charge and try to help her in stabilizing her. After 60 agonizing minutes, an hour , we were able to stabilized her. We start an examination on Ummi and also conduct a couple of tests on her. I also hope is nothing bad. I pray so
Immediately I left the ICU , I was interrupted by a crying Nina asking about Ummi and Noor. I try to calm to her down and inform her that both Ummi and Noor are OK.
' Thank you , Thank you Doctor ' , She was profusely thanking me and Dr. Yankwashi who was shying away from too much gratitude.
' Don't thank me, any family of Dr. Nasir is my family Nina, sorry am on my way '. Said Dr. Yankwashi.
' No problem, thank you Dr. Barakallah fiki '. Answered Nina.
' please can I see them '. Asked Nina.
' They are still asleep but Nina, I thinked you should inform Abbu '. I informed Nina.
She answered OK dejectedly because I can see she is still worried about Nina and Noor.
I quickly went over to Dr. Yankwashi , Dr. Demilola , Dr. Shuaibu and the twin doctors discussing. As I reached there I ask them about the result but they informed me that they are still going through the results.
After some minutes, Dr Demilola confirmed my suspicion that Ummi is suffering from heart disease.
Just as I was about to speak , a nurse come in hurriedly informing us that the girl is awake.
