A Challenger Approaches

Unknown location

There was an empty hallway. The whole place was made out of old stone bricks, so old that some of the tiny cracks in the walls had moss coming out. The hallway was pitch black as no light source could be seen. That was until a green glow walks down the hallway.

In some part of the place, there was the sound of heavy footsteps echoing through the hallway. A person was walking down the hallway as his helmet emitted the only source of light for the entire hallway.

In his hand was a shotgun.

The man kept walking down the hallway as he kept his eyes forward. Eventually he came to an intersection. The man looks to his left and right, trying to see where the other hallways lead to. Thanks to the night vision mode in his helmet, he could see there wasn't any difference to the other hallways, just an endless walk. Deciding it wasn't worth it, he kept walking straight. But unknowingly to him however, was the fact that he was not alone.

From above, a black creature was climbing the roof.

The creature, also known as a Xenomorph, has been following the man in green for some time. It has been keeping its distance so it could study him and wait for the perfect moment to strike.

As the man continues to walk down the hall, a message appears on his helmet's hud. The message says: "Detecting several Xenomorphs up ahead. Use caution."

There was a sudden hissing coming from ahead. The man stops in his tracks as a Xenomorph was a few feet away from him, slowly walking up to him.

The creature remained on all four limbs, as if trying to sneak up on him even though he could see it. It hisses as it slowly crawls to him.

As it does, another message appears on the man's hud. This time saying: "I have just picked up more Xenomorphs on your six. You are surrounded."

Just as he finished reading the message, he heard the sound of several more hisses behind him. He took a glance over his shoulder and saw countless other Xenomorphs climbing the walls and ceiling. He glares at them as the Xenomorph that was a few feet away was now towering over him by a foot, drooling on his helmet. It's long, sharp, and bony tail slowly slithers up his back before letting out a deep shriek as everything went black.

There was a moment of silence. That was until the sound of a shotgun being pumped echos.

Hey everyone, just letting any new readers about my second DOOM story I have. If you guys already know about this story, you don't need to read further.

A while back I rereleased an old story of mine. This is a small teaser for it. If you've been around long enough, I'm sure you know about this story already. But in case you didn't know, I tried to make a DOOM x Aliens/Predator story in the past. But at some point I took it down. Now, it's back. It's called "First Demons, Now Aliens".

I know this is a selfish promotion, but I don't care. This story is supposed to have a different version of "Fight Like Hell!"'s (this story) Doom Slayer. Unlike this story's Slayer, this one won't be 'nerfed'. This is basically supposed to be the in-game version and a more faithful adaptation to the lore than this one. That means there will be less bullshit than this one. I know many people aren't exactly happy with this Doom Slayer, so if you want, check out the new story. That has a better Doom Slayer. If not, that's fine.
