She came back bearing good news. The best kind of news that could have ever filled my ears.

We were going to have the fruit of our love in our hands.

We were going to have a baby.

We were beyond the clouds.

I began taking extra care of you, making sure you or our baby wouldn't get hurt anymore. I also began working extra hours in the vineyard to help with the added costs of having our sweet, little baby.

But, I should've stayed by your side all the time...

You went to the shops to buy us household supplies while I was in the fields. I didn't know until Mageret informed me.

I wish I knew sooner...

Because you never returned...

Jimin told me that on his way to our home, he spotted you with a man who's face he couldn't see. I didn't want to think much of it, but after a few hours went by and you hadn't returned, I began to feel paranoid.

No, I wasn't paranoid because I doubted our love... I was paranoid because I felt like I might lose you once again.

I began searching everywhere along with Jimin.

It was then that I discovered that the unknown man was none other than Mr Jeon.

My paranoia grew excessively. This was the man who leaded you to your death last time. I didn't want the same happening again.

I wanted to confront him about your whereabouts, but I was stopped when Jimin came back, panting and skin pale as if he had seen a ghost.

A part of me prayed it wasn't your ghost...

It was the moment I understood what déjà vu meant.

It was like a cruel nightmare that destiny loved playing over and over again in my life like a broken record.

I couldn't wake up from this nightmare either...

I found you by the river, the same river I had once found you drowning in your own blood, over a century ago.

You left me, again.

And I couldn't protect you this time as well. I guess, bad endings were inevitable when it came to our love.

The only difference this time was that you weren't the only person I lost.

I lost our child as well...

There was no hope left in me...

I wanted to end my life, but I had become a prisoner to a dark life that had no ending without you.

A fraction of me felt like I'd see you again, unexpectedly.

For once, I was right.

I had to keep moving from place to place as technology developed. I couldn't be found in a database that would detect that I was alive for an abnormally high number of years than a human should be living for.

And through all, Jimin was my only companion. We had each other.

Every year I would visit the town where it all had begun.

Donten.

At the graveyard, I met someone I hadn't seen in a long time.

Margaret.

"Hello, Taehyung." She smiled. Her face was no longer that of a 24 year old woman. It was gracefully marked with wrinkled around her face, and her green eyes remained unchanged, resembling two precious emeralds, "You look the same as I saw you 65 years ago, Taehyung."

Before I could respond, a young women walked to us. I didn't have to ask who she was, because she looked just like Margaret. She shared the same green eyes.

"Granny!" She halted next to Margaret. Her head turned towards me and I noticed how her brows jumped, "I've... I've seen you somewhere... you look so familiar."

"Darling, this is Kim Taehyung. An old friend of mine." Margaret giggled weakly.

"You're the man grandma keeps talking about! So it's true! You don't age at all!" Her eyes grew as big as saucers.

"You talk about me?" I smiled mischievously at Margaret.

"Yes. After Armelle, you left us too. You never came back to see us." Margaret let out a deep sigh, "I missed the two of you. Armelle was such a good friend... probably the best. And when you lost her, Taehyung, I lost her too."

Memories reeled through my head like a film.

"Oh, stupid, old me!" Margaret giggled, "This is Tabitha, my granddaughter."

"Hi, Tabitha." I held my hand forward, "Nice to meet you."

She took my hand and shook it, "Nice to meet you too, Kim Taehyung."
