Jennifer srolled through her Instagram, while her patience ran thin. It was just 6 in the evening, she noticed, and irritation ran through her.

Why was the clock so slow?

Hupfff!

She still had an hour to kill. Pouting to herself, she ruffled Breezer and simultaneously checked her notifications. Finding a ton of them she began to repost the stories she was tagged in, from the holi celebration they had earlier in the day. She smiled watching the pictures, it had been crazy fun, the morning. She felt gratitude seeping into her, as she smiled ear to ear. Her group was the best, she would not trade them for anything in the world.

"You guys are the best! Love. Xoxo"

She typed into their WhatsApp group, with a huge red beating heart at its tail and received multiple in response. It made her giggle loudly to herself, she really had a crazy bunch of buds.

That reminded him of Tanuj, he wasn't on the group but was considerably involved in making this holi this fun. She thanked him separately and received a dancing gif in return, which made her shake her head.

Apart from friends, she had also been lucky in finding costars who treated her like she was a queen. Despite all that had transpired, Jennifer knew she would always say her days as Riddhima Gupta were part of her best memories. Both the Karans had made that show special for her, and she had found her first love there. And like someone had told her, love could never be wrong, sometimes the person you love is.

Jennifer sighed at her memories. She felt lucky to get work she felt passionate enough for and actors who were not only good at their jobs but were good people. Her mind flew to the Jodhpur schedule of Code M and she remembered how she and Tanuj had become such thick friends so shortly. He was funny, and he made sure to keep her comfort over other things. Shooting with him had been fun.

That also took her to the media speculations, and she only felt herself cringing at that. Indian media knew nothing but to link two lead actors for their own and the project's publicity. Jennifer knew how showbiz worked, she knew most of those articles are paid, and it had stopped affecting her either ways, but that didn't mean she agreed to that kind of cheapness.

Shaking she head, she jumped off of the couch and moved to the kitchen. After stressing a lot she decided to try baking a cake.

Keyword- try.

Because Ms. Winget and her kitchen were usually parallel lines that didn't intersect, but again how hard baking could be?

She goggled a cake recipe and began her work. Half an hour and the messiest kitchen ever later, her batter was ready. Well kind of ready.

She pouted and tried to beat the mixture a little more to dissolve the lumps and once satisfied, she happily sprinted and ushered it inside the oven.

Just at the same moment, her doorbell rang. Jennifer immediately washed her hands and ran to the door, breezer competing her for the same. As soon as she opened the door, breezer jumped first and before she knew, Harshad had stumbled a few steps back, patting Breezer softly, his eyes the warmest brown and his smile making her go all aww at him.

Once breezer calmed down a little, Harshad let him go and looked properly at Jennifer. Raising his hand, he softly muttered a 'Hi'.

Jennifer laughed, him and his manners. She held the lapels of his shirt and pulled him inside, wrapping her arm around him.

"I missed you", she nuzzled in him, taking in his exotic perfume.

"I missed you too", he whispered in his ears, and he could feel her smile against him.

"Why could not we celebrate Holi together?", Jennifer whined as she broke the hug, still holding his lapels.

"uhh, because My family came over unplanned, and you already had a party planned here?", Harshad teased her, and Jennifer pouted, slightly slapping his chest, earning a loud yelp and a chuckle.

"uhh btw", Harshad smiled at her mischievously, "Holi isn't over".

And before Jennifer could see sense, he had taken a whole lot of gulal out of his pocket and smeared on her, face and hairs all pink.

"Harshaddddd", Jennifer yelled, starting a cat and mouse chase around her recently cleaned house, which was again all pink, pretty much.

Sometime during that chase while they were trying to drown each other in colour, Harshad stopped and sniffed loudly.

"Jenny, Is something burning?", he questioned and that made her stop short in her tracks.

"My cake!!!!!!", Jennifer screamed on the top of her lungs and ran to the kitchen with a confused Harshad on her trail, who got more confused looking at the entirely messed up kitchen counter.

Jennifer brought the cake out of the oven, but it was completely burnt. She looked at Harshad with guilty eyes.

"I wanted to make you cake, and watch you smile, but -", she left the sentence incomplete, and ducked her head. Harshad looked at the baby woman he adored to bits and walked upto her.

Grasping her wrist, he pulled her to himself and traced her cheek.

"You can still make me smile, you know", his hand was all over her cheek and the other over her waist. The crop top was making it too easy for him.

"I can?"

"Absolutely", he smirked and immediately leaned in, to kiss the daylights out of her.

Did it matter they were halfway all pink?

Did it matter the floor beneath had flour?

He pulled her more in and she gave him access, letting his hand roam round her, until there wasn't bare skin anymore but all gulal.

They broke apart laughing, and Harshad began tickling her more, as she laughed her heart out, and him too, watching her so.

A hot shower later, they were both cuddling on her bed, while breezer roamed around wanting their attention.

Jennifer had her head on his chest while he ran his fingers through her wet hairs. It was really peaceful, just staying like that.

"Harshad?"

"Hmm!"

"I wish we could stay like this every night, nhi?"

"me too, and I have a better idea"

"What?"

"Marry me?"

Jennifer froze at his words, while Harshad kept looking at her for a reaction. Both of them knew it was coming. But Jennifer's lack of reaction made him skeptical. Before Harshad could force himself into an overthinking spiral, Jennifer exclaimed.

"What Harshad? This isn't enough na. I want a full ring, on knees, under the stars proposal. This isn't gonna do it!", she jumped on the bed and complained, but before she could say more, she was pulled down and a pair of rough lips slammed onto hers.

They kissed with passion and intensity, the fire inside them burning their souls.

" You scared me for a moment", Harshad said, his breaths still heavy from all the kiss. Jennifer laughed, she was finding it all funny.

"That's okay Mr. Chopda, but remember you promised me a Goa wedding, in shorts, on the beach! No compromise on that!", Jennifer pointed a finger at him and he laughed.

"Aye aye captain!"
