John is reading with the colt on his desk, Shay is asleep, Sam is leaning against the wall whilst Dean is pacing
"So this is it. This is everything I know. Look, our whole lives we been searching for this demon right? Not a trace, just...nothing. Until about a year ago. For the first time I picked up a trail" John explained
"That's the year you took off" replied Dean
"Yeah that's right. The demon must have came out of hiding" answered John
"So what's this trail you found?" asked Dean
"It starts in Arizona, then New Jersey, California. Houses burned down to the ground. It's going after families, just like it went after us" explained John
"Families with infants" replied Sam
"Yeah on the kid's six month birthday" answered John
"I was six month old that night" replied Sam
"Exactly six months" said John
"So basically, this demon is going after these kids for some reason. The same way it came for me? So Mom's death...Jessica. It's all because of me?" explained Sam "Shay doesn't have his mommy because she dead"
"We don't know that Sam" said Dean
"Oh really?" asked Sam "because I say we are pretty damn sure Dean"
"For the last fucking time what happened to them wasn't your fault" answered Dean
"RIGHT IT'S NOT MY FAULT BUT IT'S MY PROBLEM" yelled Sam
Shay wakes up from the shouting and looks at Sam and then Dean and
"It's our problem" replied Dean
John looks at Shay and then turns to Sam and Dean "okay that's enough, Sam your son awake and please no more shouting"
"What does he want?" questioned Sam
"Look I wish I had more answers, I do. I've always been one step behind it. Look, I've never gotten there in time to save.." explained John
"So how do we find it before it hits again?" asked Dean
"There's signs. It took me a while to see the pattern but it's there in the days before these fires signs crop up in an area. Cattle deaths, temperature fluctations, electrical storms. And then I went back and checked...and" answered John
"These things happened in Lawrence?" asked Dean
"A week before your mother died. And in Palo Alto...before Jessica. And these signs, they're starting again" replied John
"Where?" asked Sam
"Salvation Lowa" replied John
John gets in his truck as Sam, Shay and Dean get in the impala and drive. They park the car and get out of the vehicle
"God damn it" yelled John
"Dad" said Dean
"Jim Murphy is dead" replied John
"Pastor Jim how?" asked Sam
"His throat was slashed and he bled out, Caleb said they found traces of sulfur at his house" explained John
"A demon or the demon?" questioned Dean "what do we do now?"
"Now we act like every second counts. There's two hospitals and a health centre in this county. We split up, cover more ground. I want records. I want a list of every infant that's going to be six months old in the next week" explained John
