The Winchester's have decided to stay at a motel and Dean is reading a news paper article telling him about a death of a family member.
"She drowned in the lake and they searched the lake and no body was found" explained Dean "something you want to say to me?"
"The trail for dad it's getting colder everyday" replied Sam
"Exactly, so what are we suppose to do?" asked Dean
"I don't know, anything" said Sam
"You know what? I'm sick of this attitude. You don't think I wanna find Dad as much as you do?" said Dean "I'm the one that's been with him every single day for the past two years, while you've been off to college going to pep rallies. We will find Dad, but until then, we're gonna kill everything bad between here and there. Okay?, you got a son for god sake"
"Let's just go to lake Manitoc" said Sam
They get in the car, Shay is watching something on his tablet whilst Dean drives but parks the car near the Carlton house as Dean knocks whilst Sam stands there holding Shay's hand
"Will Carlton I am agent ford and this is agent Hill and his son Shay" said Dean "we are here with the wildlife service"
Will nods and lets in and takes them to Bill
"She was dragged underneath the water" explained Will "I never saw anything"
"Alright we let you know if we find anything" replied Sam
Dean heads back to his car as Sam follows with Shay and gets Shay in his car seat. Dean drives to the police station
"Why would wildlife service be interested in accidental drowning?" asked Jake
"Are you sure it's accidental, Will Carlton saw something grab his sister" replied Sam
"Will Carlton was traumatized and his mind is playing tricks on him" explained Jake "third missing person body"
A young woman knocks on the door
"Gentleman this is my daughter Andrea and her son Lucas" replied Jake "he doesn't talk though"
Shay goes to sit by Lucas and looks at him weirdly "you saw something terrible and haven't spoken since, my mommy died but I speak" Lucas nods at Shay
Sam, Dean and Shay is lead by Andrea to the nearest motel
"kids are the best" said Dean
Andrea walks away
"You don't even like kids" replied Sam
"I do now because your son is like a son to me now Sammy" replied Dean
Sam rolls his eyes and enters the motel as Dean and Shay follow
"Alright maybe I don't like kids but I like Shay" said Dean "and he a kid"
Sam is working on his laptop, Dean is going through his clothing and Shay is reading a book about a dinosaur
"So we have a lake monster" said Dean
"This whole lake monster theory, it just bugs me" replied Sam
Dean walks over to read over Sam's shoulder as Shay closes the book after finishing and comes over too
"Why?" asked Dean
"Loch Ness, uh, Lake Champlain, there are literally hundreds of eyewitness accounts, but here, almost nothing" answered Sam "whatever out there, no one is living to talk about it"
