"Where are we going?" Serenity asked while she struggled to climb up the rock slab that both Melody and I were on. She groaned and slid back down before she looked at us and scowled. "This better be worth it."

"It is," I said and bit back a smirk when her scowl deepened. "Do you want the help now?" I asked and raised an eyebrow while I stared at her with a cocked head. "It looks like you are having more trouble than you thought."

Serenity huffed and folded her arms across her chest. A blush appeared on her face, and my heart skipped a beat because she looked so beautiful. "No," she said and pushed a strand of brown hair behind her ear. She cleared her throat and eyed the rock slab and the area around it. "As I said, I got this."

"Ok," I said and shrugged before I folded my arms across my chest. "Does that mean we can go ahead and go up? We still have a long way to go, and you're holding us back." I winked, and she rolled her eyes while my sister snorted, amused.

"It's not my fault that I live with a pack full of mountain goats," she said. Her eyes wide, and her cheeks grew redder, and I couldn't help but wonder what was going on through that mind of hers. She cleared her throat and shifted on her feet while her whole body grew tense, and she looked around to make sure that we were alone before she looked at me. "But please, don't leave me here. I don't want any of those... wolves to eat me."

I gave her a weird look and narrowed my eyes slightly. "They don't eat humans," I said. "They mainly don't deal with outsiders except for the Alpha and Luna. They're the black and white wolf couple that you might see every once in a while if you hang out in the woods."

"The Alpha Chosen is also another wolf that you have to deal with sometimes," Melody said. "He's a dick sometimes, but you'll get used to him." She shrugged and shot me an innocent look when Serenity nodded slowly with furrowed brows.

'Gee, thanks,' I said sarcastically and bit back a scowl. 'That is seriously something that I want my mate to think about every time she sees me.'

Melody smiled innocently and shrugged again. Her smile turned into a smirk, and I could tell that she was pleased with herself. 'I guess you shouldn't have let me not eat after training,' she said, and I rolled my eyes and scowled. She sighed and shook her head as if she knew what I was thinking. 'I know, I know, it's not your fault that she heard her parents talk about Werewolves and such.'

"How big of a dick is he?" Serenity asked and looked at me. She raised an eyebrow and cocked her head while she studied me. Amusement filled her eyes, and I was sure that she enjoyed our bickering about a life that she was now a part of, even though she hadn't met everyone yet. "Or is she lying?"

"He's a dick to his siblings and cousins," I replied, answering truthfully because I was a dick to my siblings and cousins some while they were a dick to me. "However, he is not that much of a dick. Mel is just jealous that he is more popular than her favorite wolf." I stuck my tongue out at her, and she scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Please," she said and scoffed again. She placed her hand over her heart, and I raised an eyebrow in amusement. "Why would I be jealous of a wolf with self-esteem issues that attack females when not provoked?"

I mentally growled at her when she said that and gritted my teeth, and her eyes widened in shock while her face grew pale. 'Watch it,' I warned and narrowed my eyes at her, scowling. My tone changed, and she lowered her head slightly in respect and apology. 'We don't need her to be scared of me in that form.'

"He attacks females without being provoked?" Serenity asked. She furrowed her brows, and worry flashed through her eyes. Her whole body grew tense while her face grew pale. She looked this way and that, trying to make sure that he wasn't near us.

Melody's eyes grew wide, and her cheeks grew red because she had a feeling that she cost me some trust issues with my mate. Realization filled her eyes, and I had a feeling that she knew that what she said was wrong. "Usually, the females do egg him, and then he attacks," Melody backpedaled and shook her head. She shrugged and cleared her throat while she shifted on her feet. "However, he doesn't normally attack when provoked unless they get on his nerves so much that he gets done."

"He's nice," I said, praying that she wouldn't be afraid of me if she ever saw me in wolf form. I smiled and nodded when she looked at me, my heart pounding hard in my chest while anxiety settled on me like a warm blanket because I had no idea what the future would hold now that she was nervous about my wolf. "His mother made sure that he was respectful and didn't abuse the power that he possesses."

Serenity frowned and slowly nodded. Her brows were furrowed, and her lip was slightly protruded while she was lost in thought, thinking about what both Melody and I had said. "I... think I'm going to take that help," she said and looked at me. Her cheeks grew redder, and I couldn't help but wonder what was going on through her mind. "I don't think he'll hurt me, but I don't want to take any chances."

I nodded my head and hopped down beside her. My heart ached slightly, and my wolf whined in apology because he hated her not trusting him. "He won't hurt you," I promised. I cleared my throat and licked my lips, praying that she would give me a chance. "He can never hurt you. You can trust me on that."
