It All Started With A Lie

Chapter 12

"Hello to you" Austin said his eyes scanning my body.

"Hi" I murmured.

"I'm here for Yasmin."

"I am Yasmin."

"No- wow you look hot."

"Yasmin! your dad wants to see you" I heard Cyntia shouting.

"What? I can't hear you" I shouted back closing the door and quickly walking to Austin's car. He chuckled and we drove quietly to the party.

Teenage parties were to say the least... different. Loud music, dark rooms and tons of alcohol. There was dancing and kissing, sometimes fights and mishap with the cops. So you see why I'd rather stay home reading or watching movies?

But here I was standing in front of Hailey Griffiths house, the hot girl that just joined our school. Hailey's house was huge and I'm talking about 'I own a mansion' huge.

Three stories high with music that can be heard throughout the whole neighborhood and crowds of people inside out.

I slowly follow Austin in the house. It was like stepping into another world.

Breathe Yasmin, breathe. It's just a normal party. The kind with teenagers from school and maybe a few college students.The house was darkly lit, filled with couples, drunk teens, grinding bodies and laughter. A few people stood in corners smoking, drinking and some making out.

I saw Hailey and Ashley making there way over to us.

"Yasmin!" Hailey shouted.

"Welcome to my kingdom" she said smiling.

"I'm gonna go get some drinks" she said.

"I'll come with you" I said, I can't stand here all night can I. Although it wouldn't be that bad.

Guys were standing around a counter that held buckets of beer and drinks of all colours and sizes, they were chugging drinks one after another and girls that looked desperate for attention surrounded them giggling and cooing.

I rolled my eyes and turned my attention to Hailey.

"Coke or beer? " she asked.

"Coke" I said and she handed one to me.

I followed her to what looked like the living room now changed into a dance floor with couches on the sides of the room. Hailey gave me a smile, before leading me towards one of the couches furthest away from the loud music and dancing bodies. Following Hailey I plopped down on the couch and leaned back with a sigh.

Hailey laughed and I turned to look at her.

"Well you look different" she said.

"Uh y-yeah" I stuttered.

"A good different" she answered.

"Thanks" I smiled.

Just then her phone ring and she looked at it.

"Sorry I have to take this" she said getting up and walking away.

Great.

I just sat there then finally I went out the door of the living room for some fresh air. There was a few people out there but at least it wasn't crowded. There was a pool and for a minute I just stood there looking into it.

"Look who's here" a shill voice said behind me, I turned quickly stepping away from the pool.

"Miss She-thinks-she-can-steal-my-boyfriend" London spat glaring at me.

I stood there frozen, unable to reply.

"Do you really think you stand a choice? Xavier has no interest in you so back off bitch!" she shouted stepping closer to me. Now we both stood sideways in front of the pool.

"I-I'm not trying to steal your boyfriend" I stuttered.

"Do you think am blind, I saw how you were forcing yourself on him the other day!" she shouted. People were around us staring, whispering and recording.

"He doesn't want you, he said you remind him of a garbage" she said smiling while some people laughed. I wanted to cry. I'm tired of this, I'm tired of allowing her to hurt me.

"Well thats not what he said when we were kissing the other day" I said putting on my own smile.

"You bitch" London said grabbing on to me and that's when it happened I pushed London Johnson into the pool.

People laughed and I just stood there shocked.

What have I done?

I quickly turned and ran out of there. When I got to the front I realized I didn't have my car. With my hands shaking I dialed her number.

"Hello."

"Hey Cyntia can you come pick me up."
