“When can we see Harry?” I ask Zayn and Liam, as soon as they walk into my hospital room.

Liam grins.

“Nice to see you too” he says.

“Hey, Liam” I say. “But really, it's been three days. I want to see Harry.”

“And they're still only letting Paul in” Zayn says. “When are you getting out?”

I shrug.

“Something about 'I'm in trouble for doing too much after getting shot in the stomach'”I tell him. “So I'm bedridden for the week.”

“Sounds fun” Zayn says. “You shouldn't have gone.”

“Yeah, and Louis would've died” I reply.

Liam rolls his eyes.

“I'm so glad he's awake” Zayn says.

He glances at me, waiting for the bombshell to drop.

“I know” I say, grinning.

Liam's jaw drops.

I almost laugh.

They both wanted to see my reaction when they told me about Louis.

“Callin called” I tell them, grinning. Liam groans.

“I was so looking forward to your face” he says.

“I always look forward to your face” Zayn says seductively, making me laugh.

“He's mine” Liam says, fake-angry.

“He'd love to decide for himself” I say casually.

“No!” they snap at the same time.

I laugh, and then they do too.

And it feels great to laugh, and be happy, and finally feel safe.

I'm pretty sure Callin's going to kiss me again, but then the door opens, and Zayn and Liam walk in.
