Isabelle's POV:

I waved a quick goodbye at Avi and dashed out of the room, not wanting to make the scene more awkward. It wasn't that awkward, was it? I thought I was pretty chill about it.

I could hear his boots follow me down the hallway and to my locker. I put in my com and open it, glancing over at him as I put all my shit up. God, so many books its annoying.

"Why are you here?" I blurt out.

He chuckled and watched me with curious eyes. "I was wondering, since its Friday, if you wanted to come to my house and study or whatever the hell we're supposed to do, y'know for that project?"

I slung my backpack on my back and slammed my locker shut. "Sure I guess. What time?"

"Now?"

"No! I have to go home and do homework silly!" I let out a soft laugh and he joins me.

"Well then how about 6?" He questioned as we started to walk out of the building.

"Works for me!" I agree and wave goodbye, handing him a piece of paper with my number on it and hopping onto my bus, leaving him alone once again.

Avi's POV:

I can't believe she actually agreed to it.

I quickly turn on my heel and walk along the sidewalk, walking home. I open the front door as it creaks, making my dog Rider come galloping down the stairs and knocking me back. I chuckle and pat his head, gently pushing him off of me.

I get up and brush myself off, making my way to the fridge and grabbing a Sun Drop. My eyes wander towards the TV as I lean against the counter, watching the football game.

The time goes by fast, its already 5:30 so I decide to text her.

*Do you want me to come get you now?*

I wait a few minutes for her to reply.
*Sure, I'll be waiting on the front porch.*

I push myself off the counter and pat Rider on the head, heading out the door and into my car. I revved the engine and pulled out of the driveway, turning down onto the main road.

My head nods along to the music as I pull into her driveway, seeing her on the front porch. She smiled and got up, approaching my car and plopping down in the passenger seat.
