So my puppy, who is just 4 months jumped out of my sisters arms and landed on his hip. At 5am this morning I was woken out of a dead sleep to help mom take him to the emergency vet clinic almost an hour out of town. Let me tell you, I was terrified. When we got to the wet, the specialist immediately took him from us to do an inspection of the leg and couldn't find anything. So we had to give him a pain killer shot. When that didn't help, they asked to do xrays. We agreed, and they were gone for another half and hour to 45 minutes before they came in with the news. He was extremely lucky it was only a fracture, and that it did not separate the bone or go into a joint. They said it could take anywhere from 3 weeks to a month to heal. He's now in a cast, and has a boot to where over it when he goes outside. He's pretty drugged up right now on pain killers so we don't have to put his cone on just yet. But when he wakes up we'll have to put it on him. So he's okay now. I'm just so worried.
