I awoke to the light shining through the tiny window. My head was resting on his chest and his arm was around me. I quickly jerked away, shocked that I was doing this, even if it was only in my sleep. I wonder if he was awake already, just watching me sleep? I then remembered where we were. What lays ahead of us today?

"Trent." I whispered.

"Yeah." he groaned.

"What are they going to do to us?"

"I haven't been completely honest with you Yasmin, but now there's nothing to lose I guess. I know stuff. I know what they want, but I don't think you'll have to worry. They're looking for special people, people who can do certain things."

"Like what?"

"Errr I'm not entirely sure actually, but don't worry, I'm sure you'll be fine."

"And what if I won't be?"

"Then you're screwed."

"And what will they do with us if they find out they don't need us?"

"I won't let it get to that stage, we'll escape before they can hurt us."

"They've already hurt us."

"I know. Are you okay?" We were now sitting on the bed whilst talking.

"I am now." I smiled at him, "Listen, I'm sorry about before. I've just been so mad lately and I panicked when all of this happened. I shouldn't have been so horrible."

"Yasmin, don't be ridiculous. I got what I deserved. But just know that I never wanted to hurt anyone, let alone kill. But this association has a way of manipulating people, and I had no choice. They recruited me because they thought they could develop my 'hidden skills' and utilise them for worse purposes. They would've soon found out that there's nothing special about me, but I escaped before they could. I couldn't stand what I was doing. So, Yasmin, I've escaped once, I can do it again."

"Wow, Trent, I had no idea. What do these people even want?" I tried or squeeze as much information as possible from him.

"I don't even know. I only pieced together bits and pieces, but not the full puzzle. Whatever it is, though, it needs to be stopped."

A latch in the door opened and a tray of food was pushed through. I hadn't realised how hungry I was, food was the last thing on my mind while I was being kidnapped. We both scurried over to see what was being served. Soup. It was thick, chunky and green, containing some sort of meat I think. There where two bowls, but only one spoon. Trent gave me the spoon and he drank his. He looked so pathetic and helpless as he slurped the murky green soup. I felt a sudden flame of hatred burn inside of me as I watched him act so innocent. He looked at me while I was staring at him.

"What are you looking at?" he smiled slightly, chuffed that I was 'admiring' him.

"Not you, that's for sure." I sounded really bitchy. Good.

"What's your deal Yasmin? Last night you were actually starting to come around but now you're being horrible again, to the only person who's on your side in this place."

"You're on my side? No one is on my side, especially not you of all people. Just don't talk to me." I scoffed. We exchanged disgusted looks and then I walked back to sit on the bed, as far away from him as possible.
