Chapter 7: Trent

The van started to slow down and seemed to turn into a driveway, the sound of gravel crushed against the tires.

Yasmin sat up with fear in her eyes, glaring at me expectantly as if I had our escape route all planned out. I couldn't do this, her well being and happiness in my hands, she was too precious to be going through this.

The van door groaned open to reveal the burning brightness of torches and faces of angry men. They dragged us into an empty car park surrounded by tall buildings.

They took us through a door opening to a corridor. They would shove and kick us when we disobeyed, but we soon learned not to.

Towards the end of a corridor was a bolted door, which seemed to have a tablet next to it. One of the guards placed his hand on it and the door responded with granting us entry.

White light filled my eyes.
