A One Paragraph Love Story

Wrote this in Creative Writing Club at school on January 27th, 2020.

She remembered the first time they'd met. He had been sitting on the bank, staring into the clear, blue water, alone. The sun had painted the sky with different shades of pink and orange and the occasional rippling of the water created spirals. She remembered him turning to face her, eyes like the grass in summer. She sat next to him, a few feet away. They would talk and talk, and she remembered how she would find him there every morning. Eventually, they would move closer to each other, a few inches every day. He was always there, staring into the water with his pensive eyes. But this time, she was alone, staring into the clear water like he once did.
