Gianni had been a complete wreck after (Y/n) left. The edge of the roof seemed to beckon him, if she wasn't with him the what was the point?

But he held himself back. She said it wasn't his fault and he did his best the believe that. Something must have happened, something that was keeping them apart.

If he could find that thing and get rid of it, he could win her back and they could be happy again.

There was only one thing Gianni could think of when it came to what would be getting in between him and (Y/n).

That was why as soon as school ended he found himself standing outside of Padgett's house.

It was shameful really to go back to his least favorite ex girlfriend's house, but he was almost certain that she had something to do with the break up. She must have planted some seed of doubt in (Y/n)'s head, lied to her, manipulated her. All of those things were terrible and he'd never wish them on his sweet darling.

He knocked at the door with vigor. It was a tiny rundown place, the one advantage of having dated Padgett in the past was knowing her. They bonded over the fact that neither of their parents were ever home, that was the reason she spent so much time at the (L/n)s' house when she was with Ronan.

He knew that he'd be getting her alone and since she was yet to get her newest boyfriend, she'd be home.

Padgett opened the door and characteristically rolled her eyes dramatically. "What are you doing here?" She whined.

Gianni silently pushed past her, he knew that if he spoke to her from outside she'd end up just shutting the door in his face.

"Get out, Gi, I don't have the time or patience to deal with you right now." Padgett sounded sincerely tired.

"(Y/n) dumped me today. At lunch." He spat.

A wide grin spread across Padgett's pretty face. "I know."

"You had something to do with it. I know you did." He wanted to hit her, kick her, punch her, kill her. But above all of that he wanted that damned smile off her face.

"I didn't actually."

"You're lying." His breaths were shallow as he shook his head frantically. "All you do is lie."

Padgett tilted her head slightly. "You're so narcissistic." She scoffed. "You really think that there's no other reason she'd want to end thing with you other than the big bad evil witch Padgett doing something." Padgett laughed cruelly. "Get over yourself."

Gianni clenched and unclenched his fist over and over, he couldn't let Padgett's words get to him. "All. You. Do. Is. Lie." He took a step back from her to stop himself from doing something he'd regret. "Stop it."

"What? You think you're been the perfect boyfriend for her? You're fucking delusional, Gi, I'll never understand what's going on in that sick head of yours." Padgett was seemingly unfazed by Gianni's obvious instability.

"Did you tell her about-"

"About you breaking into her house? No. I didn't need to." Padgett opened the front door again and pointed at the empty space. "I'm not gonna tell you why she broke up with you because frankly it doesn't concern you."

It absolutely did concern him. Padgett knew that, Padgett was secretly wishing that (Y/n) would spare herself and just let her dad shoot Gianni. Life would be much easier that way.

Gianni's eyes flicked between Padgett and the door. He thought it best to cut his losses and leave because one thing was for sure-

If he stayed with her any longer, he'd kill her.
