Chapter 19

But the packs were being attacked all around us. Our pack was attacked, but due to its strong defence, no one died but many were injured.

Tomorrow, Blake and I are going to an annual meet. Every year the annual meet was organised by one of the Alpha's. This year, Alpha of the Crescent moon, Alpha Dylan, my ex-mate.

Blake asked me more than a hundred times this week whether I want to come to the annual meet, and every time my answer was yes.

Just because Alpha Dylan was my ex-mate, doesn't mean I can abandon my duty as a Luna to Blood Moon and as Blake's mate.

My past remains in the past, at present, I'm happy with my mate. That's all matters.

Now, I'm packing clothes worth a week. Even though the annual meet ball is for one night, there are many occasions. Meetings will be held throughout the week.

It was an hour before midnight, yet Blake is still not here. He is in his office in the packhouse, finishing some work he will be missing the next week. That's what he said. But yet he will still be doing some work when we go to crescent pack.

I don't care what he is planning to do there in his free time, but I will have some company. Aiden, Elina, AL and Landon will be there. Over the year, we frequently visited them or they visited us. Over the visits, AL and I have become close.

I had to pack for Blake also as he said he was too busy to pack. I didn't care packing for him, he is my mate after all.

I shut the third and last suitcase of ours and sighed, I have been packing for about four hours.

I heard the bedroom door open and close and then I heard, "Lexi?"

"I'm in the closet", I replied.

He came in and hugged me. I asked him, "Are you okay?"

He replied, "I'm fine. Have you finished packing?"

I nodded and changed to one of his shirts, while he went to the restroom.

I went to bed, and pulled the duvet to my neck and took my mobile to set an alarm.

I felt the bed shift on the other side, I asked him," What time should I set the alarm?"

He pulled me towards him and took my mobile and set the alarm and kept in the nightstand.

I asked him, "Blake? Do you love me?"

He froze, "Of course Lexi, what kind of question is that? I love you more than anything or anyone in this world Lexi"

He continued," I'm sorry Lexi...for not spending time with you...I-"

I stopped him with a kiss. When we pulled away, "I love you too, more than anything or anyone in this world, promise me you will never leave me, that you will stay with me until I die"

He growled," Don't say that you will die, I will never leave you, you are the only one that can keep me from going insane, I promise"

With that, he kissed me. After about a half an hour of make-out session, we went to sleep.

When I heard the alarm I groaned and moved closer to Blake. But he pulled me out of the bed," Lexi! Lexi! Wake up...it's already six, we should leave at seven"

I woke up and muttered," I hate you"

He smiled and replied, "I love you too"

I went to the restroom and did my business, I changed into light blue ripped jeans and a grey t-shirt.

By the time, Blake came downstairs I made a coffee for us. Only a few pack members were there and they too busy with their own work.

When he came downstairs, he wearing a t-shirt and jeans. I sighed in relief, at least he is not wearing a suit now. When he saw my expression and he asked, "What?"

I just shook my head and kissed his cheek. The next minute, Elliott and Ash came downstairs, muttering a good morning.

I wished them back. After five minutes, we said goodbyes and hugged them. Others were too lazy to wake up early on a Sunday so they said their goodbyes yesterday night.

Elliott dropped us both at the airport. Blake decided to take his private jet, so we both were very comfortable throughout the six-hour flight.

A car was waiting for us when we reached the airport in the crescent moon pack. Blake asked me again the same question, "Are you sure? We can leave if you want."

I cupped his cheeks and said firmly," We are going! That's final. Okay? One day or another I have to face them."

He sighed and kissed me, "I love you"

I replied, "I love you too"

The driver, who introduced himself as Spencer, opened the doors for us. I said, "Thank you"

I remembered Spencer, he was a year younger than me and was very smart for his age.

Blake put the luggage in the back. Blake sat with me in the back. He asked the driver, "When will we reach?"

Spencer replied, "An hour, Alpha"

Blake replied, "Stop in a diner"

Spencer said, "Okay Alpha"

All the way to the main site of the pack, I started out at the familiar view. The view I loved when I was here.

There was a part of the pack that lived near the airport, but no one was in sight now.

I asked, "Spencer, what happened to the people who lived here?"

He was surprised, "They moved closer to the packhouse, Luna...If you don't mind can I ask you something?"

I replied, "Sure"

He hesitated, "How did you know that people lived here...I mean only the pack members knew and no pack has visited us for about five years"

I smiled and said, "I used to live in this pack"

He was shocked. He asked, "So, I know you?"

I smiled again and said, "Think hardly. And I'm not easy to forget. Take your time. Can we stop at Lucy's Diner? I hope it's still there..."

He replied, "Of course Luna"

Blake just squeezed my hand gently and laid his head on mine.
