This is how I imagine Avies dress and how it looks on her, this is also the tiara but you can imagine it however you like. Quick disclaimer I don't own any of the photos I use.

Avie stood in a daze, her gentle wings flapping rhythmically as instinctual as breathing.
Searching the braids of ivory vines that enraptured her sunlit room in a hue of golden shine. She walked slowly over to the large window like gaps in which the forest had simply not covered, resting an elbow on the vines, she examined the view as she did every morning. Her room overlooked a nearby waterfall one that had only just flowed to life beside the madness of the forest. Everything was quiet in this half of the palace, the only sound was the stir of the wild thriving deep within the trees and the soft purr of water against rocks. A vivid contrast to the lavish and loud chaos on the opposite side of the palace, where a ball was being orchestrated. Decorations had been prepared and magic been used in the interior of the ball room and entrance halls to accentuate Faerie culture, put forth its most admirable attributes. Who was the ball for? Well Avie and Kelvie, this was the night which determined their future, confirmed their status in the royal dynasty. More so for Kelvie who was extremely eager for the cosmetics of the Ball, there was nothing wrong with that in fact Avie almost wished she could see the excitement in such lovely things. This evening Kelvie would most likely be proposed to by Jover, the eldest son of a forest keeper Fae one who had been itching to gain political power since their mother bore two airs. Avie couldn't help but notice that Kelvie had dimmed in the past couple of days, the reason being that she was in fact in love with a young women named Oddete, Avie had met her a couple of times and knew sadly that this would break Kelvies heart wether she knew it or not. Royals were forbidden to love commoners, and her royal status was unfortunately her greatest pride.
Avie on the other hand was quite to opposite, she knew leaving the Faerie mushrooms would result in immediate estrangement from her family, stripped of her title and a Fea wanted for treason. As frightening as it sounded it was the most freeing thought she had had in a long time. If one thing could be certain is that tonight would be one of the most rebellious and satisfying things she would ever do, her parents had expected them both to conform to society's standards, play their roles with the grace of any other queen. Give everything but never enough to appear weak and eventually produce children of their own who can relive almost exactly their parents life and so on and so forth. But Avie would never pretend with them, she had sworn many years ago to always form her own opinion wether the topic interested her or not, sometimes when she was just a child Avie would simply go against her parents view on things for the sake of it. Not really understanding her need to leave until, well now.
Tonight would symbolise something different for Avie, the beginning of her departure. Rejecting Raphael, an elite warrior who had made it his mission to take her hand in marriage since they first met only a few months ago, so she had assumed. He was a strange man who had appeared out of no where and unfortunately fallen madly in love with the oblivious Avie, a powerful Fae he was and a honourable one too. He always seemed one world away expect when he was around her. Regardless Avie was sure he would pop the question and if anything could be certain of this evenings events was that she would say no and make sure her mother heard her in the process. It was the spirits will, and if it wasn't their wish she'd never want to leave.

The soft patter of a slippered foot awoke Avie from her daze, she stared a little longer at the rushing water collecting her thoughts and nodding at the sky in a confirmation, a confidence boost if you will. Taking one look in the mirror she admired the golden leafed Faerie dress. She twirled a lock of long pale red  around her finger before tucking it way and straightened the ring of gold encased flowers on her hair. Avies feet were bear and she wore only a few gold chains around them decorated with tiny charms, her wings on the other hand were draped in golden daisy chains and had been painted metallic that morning. She couldn't help the butterfly's that barged around in her stomach. Excitement and anxiety competing against each other to form a mass of confused nerves.
"Avie you look stunning," Kelvie said in surprise from the vine door way, her crimson feathered dress was equally gorgeous, fitted at the waist with long wisps of red and exploding outward around her thighs, an exquisite set of diamonds hang from her neck. Unlike Avie her hair was twisted up into a curly bun and a crown of green encircled it. Their style had always set them apart, being identical often required more effort to establish individuality.
"Stop! You look amazing" Avie gasped at her sisters radiance in awe of the craftsmanship it must have taken to put together something so perfect.
"You flatter me." She beamed. Avie laughed softly linking her arm through Kelvies .
"God, did you have trouble with this crown thing? I sat on it accidentally does she look a tad rough?" Avie asked bowing her head for Kelvie to inspect.
"No your fine." She assured her, though after that small talk was harder muster. They walked for a long time taking turn after turn the silence between them settling like a foul smell and nerves bouncing off each other's. It was only when they were a few minutes walk away from the ball entrance did Avie finally crack, she had to try one last desperate attempt for Kelvies sake. She wouldn't know freedom and that was a painful thought for Avie.
"Let's run away Kel! Let's just go stow away in a sail boat and see the world together! No rules no obligation just sweet sweet freedom!" "No Avie-" "You won't have to marry that selfish Jover we could take Oddete too and eventually settle down when we feel like not when someone tells us we are too old! Oh please Kelvie!" "Please lets keep going-" "There has to more than just principal and formalities so much more I can feel it oh let's just go!-" Avie erupted trying to drag Kelvie way in panic and urgency, her eyes pleading her to come a few stray tear drops trailing down her cheeks.
"Avie Stop! Stop it right now!" She yelled her face suddenly red and fiery sob escaping her mouth. "This ball means nothing to you, but it means everything to me! I want this life Avie I won't leave with you! I have always known I would marry someone I didn't want to, have a position that would demand more then I can give and eventually have to rule over the entire kingdom with its weight on my shoulders! I want that Avie I want it, you can runaway do whatever you want I won't stop you. But don't ruin my dreams just because we don't share the same ones!" They both breathed heavily anger and sadness flying high.
"Now please may we continue." Kelvie tucked her hair behind her ears and wiped furiously at the tears under her eyes. Kelvie had been wanting to say that for some time now and the intensity and passion that choked her words drove that point straight into Avies heart, Avie was stunned for a moment. She had always thought Kelvie complied a bit too easily and a bit too eagerly, for awhile its seemed as though she was competing against Avie. When time unravelled it became obvious that she would always be resistant to the strain if royal responsibility so perhaps Avie now thought, Kelvie no longer had seen her as a threat. Yet still this confused her Kelvie was rebellious in other ways, even on the wrong side of the law. The future she described was pristine and clean, but her hands were already dirty.
"You talk about responsibility and honour to royalty but you-" her voice dropped to a whisper and Kelvie spilled around from a few steps ahead. "You sold-"
"Avielle, do not speak of that here!" She screeched in a hushed tone. "You know why I did it, why we had to, That is behind me, my dues have been paid and so have yours! Now please!" She nodded her head forward in a commanding manner.
Avie frowned deeply, shook her hands in means to recompose herself and followed obediently in a different kind of silence, a defeated one. Avie hadn't really prepared herself to the loneliness leaving would mean perhaps a part of her had always hoped Kelvie would turn around and leave everything behind too. Occasionally she looked up at the back of Kelvies neat hair. Watching curiously as if never seeing it before she noticed, the poised way in which she carried herself with her chin held high and an electric need for power that could have easily been read as power itself. And this time, for the first time Avie knew that was the power of a queen in the making, it was scary to wonder what decisions Kelvie would have to make to truly be a queen.
