Aston's P.O.V

Slowly walking through the front door into the house we let out a sign of relief, no sign of Ashley.

We took a small step forwards...

"Freeze Misters!" A stern voice yelled

We all stopped dead in our tracks.
"Shit"
"Damn it"
"Fuck"
"We're so dead"

We slowly turned around to see the five women of the house. My mate Ashley, and our four daughters; Stephanie, Jasmine, Snow and Hailey.

"Hey honey" I smiled

"Hi mom" the boys gulped

"What were you four doing out so late?" Ash questioned

"Uh"
"Well"
"Peeing?"
"Nothing"

I looked at my son Conner as he said peeing.

"Yes, we were peeing in the bushes to...to..." I trailed

"To mark our Territory?" We all looked at Axel

Ashley's stern eyes blazed through our very souls. I raised my boys so well that they would not ever crack under pressure...

"It's dad's fault!" Josh cracked

My mistake, everyone cracks under Ashley's gaze.

We all glared at Josh as he smiled in an innocent way.

"Uh...Zam Cabouy.." Josh yelled smacking his hands together. A flash of lightning blinded me for a few seconds, just enough for Josh to run away.

"You coward!" Conner yelled

"Now why do I have air powers again?" Axel signed

"So you can choke your sisters to death by your nasty farts?" Jasmine questioned

Conner stifled a laugh earning him a glare from Hailey.

"You may go." Ashley smiled

We breathed a sign of relief.

"Oh not you." Ashley smirked pointing towards me

I gulped keeping my head down.

"Yes"
"I'm alive!"
"We didn't die just yet"

The boys cheered.
"Oh don't be too happy, you get morning mom." Ashley laughing earning groans from the boys.

"You girls may go." Ash smiled kissing each a good night.

I looked back towards the stairs looking for any of my kids for help.

"No can do dad" Conner smirked

"Traitor!" I spat

"Every man for themselves against mom!" Axel yelled back laughing

When the girls finally left I looked back towards Ashley.

"Ashley I can explain..." I pleaded

"I don't even want to know. House keeper duty all day, also my food slave." Ashley laughed at the end.

Getting up from her chair Ashley flicked off the light, heading towards the stairs. Ashley cocked one eyebrow at me, pulling a bag of skittles and whipped cream from the pockets in her robe.

"Are you coming or what?" She playfully winked

I laughed scooping her in my arms racing up the steps, to our bedroom.

"Life is not a single canvas
Across which the palette of existence plays out
The days, the years, the joys, the tears
Life is but a wall
Like the art gallery hall
upon which are hung the transient images of our breath

Each panel a journey
Story unto itself blessed by its very completion
Related, segmented, belated, translated
Stories awaiting readers
Like a song yet song
Notes rising and falling between birth and death

Life is not a single canvas
The wall upon which our memories are hung"
