"I don't care how many people are in this world, I want you. End of story." -Unknown

Gabriella

"Ella?"

"You need to wake up." A voice continues to speak.

I open my eyes and blink twice.

My eyes come in contact with Noah. I try to sit up but he pushes my shoulder down.

"Don't get up." He says.

"Why am I here?" I turn to him.

"You passed out, Ella. You shouldn't have gotten out of the car. It was far too dangerous for you! What if I hadn't come out? Huh? You would be laying on hard concrete in the cold. Or worse, someone could have grabbed you and done something bad to you! Is that what you want Gabriella?" Noah asks his voice raising a little as he stares at me..

"I'm sorry." I whisper, looking away from his burning gaze.

Noah just stares at me before running a hand through his hair. "No, I'm sorry. But you shouldn't have done that. Something could have happened to you. What if I wasn't there? You could have gotten in serious danger." He says softly.

"I was just looking for you. I woke up and you weren't there." I look up at him as he comes to sit on the couch I was laying on. This couch is wide and long. So even though I was laying on it, there was plenty of space for another person to sit down or perhaps even lay on it.

Noah leans forward and places a hand on my forehead, before moving to my cheek. I'm guessing he was trying to check my temperature.

"Are you feeling any better?" He asks removing his hand from my face.

"Sort of, my head doesn't feel that bad anymore. But my stomach is still hurting. How long was I...out" I face him.

"Almost three hours, I had to wake you up though. I didn't want you to go to sleep without eating and taking any medicine. But Ella, answer me this. What did you eat yesterday?"

"Umm, well I had a yogurt in the morning. For lunch, I simply bought something at the café and for dinner I had chicken. Oh, and I ate the last apple I had left. Why?" I explain and Noah listens carefully.

"The apple, did it taste funny?" He asks as he presses his lips into a thin line.

"Sort of, but I ignored it." Noah nodded at me.

"Ella, I think you have food poisoning. Which was most likely caused by the apple you ate. But you will feel better after a few days with the help of medicine."

"Oh." Is all I simply said.

"Wait here, you're going to eat some food and then you will take some medicine to feel better." He says before getting up and walking away.

When he comes back there is a bowl in his hands.

"Here, you have to eat something. If you feel like throwing up then you don't have to finish it." He says and walks away to what I'm guessing is the kitchen.

I sit up and reach for the bowl. It's vegetable broth from what I can see. Grabbing the spoon I fill it up and bring it to my lips.

The broth burns my mouth at first but as I chew the vegetables, the warmth soothes my throat. It tastes amazing, and it makes me wonder if he made it.
