When lunch rolls around, Hannah, Monty, Jessica, and Justin occupied one of the spare tables. They had saved one seat for Alex as he was stopped by his music teacher.

They then take out their lunch but waited for Alex to join in.

"See Ivy reposted Walker's post," Jessica said and showed her phone's screen to them.

Bryce Walker with the rest of his football team was in the picture, each one of them showing off their muscular body they had built by playing various sports. Liberty High schoolers believe the hottest boys of town only go to Hillcrest as it is flooded with the richest kids.

"Why do you keep checking his account when none of he does matter us," Justin said after he swallowed a cucumber slice, earning glaring eyes from his friends. They don't usually eat without any of their friends missing.

"I'm following Ivy, not fucking Bryce. I think I told you a few days ago, Remember!" Jessica scowl at him.

Hannah intervened. "And why do you follow her? Isn't she's also the student of Hillcrest with whom we compete for football and lacrosse. And after that, The Interschool Musical Dance Competition."

"Right, " Jessica put her phone away.
"But Ivy and I have something in common. A month ago I ran into her in a mall where she told me that she hates Chloe. So, we bonded over because of our mutual hatred for her and she kinds of admire Bryce. Captaincy and all. So she always reposts his post to get his attention. But what I'm doing is getting along with her. "

Justin cuts in. "I'm pretty sure if you participated in the competition next year, there won't be any mutual feelings or getting along, or whatever. We know what happens at the end of December. First football and then dance. It creates a rift between the two schools."

"Don't even get started about it. Do you remember that Bryce's lefty Scott Reed," Monty said, "that son of a bitch gambled in favor of our school even though we have been losing for the past four years? And then the table turned, and Hillcrest lost miserably against us. Wonder the match was fixed."

"And since then I never gambled my money. Scott and his hillcrest friend planned to loose beforehand. I swear no one would ever have celebrated their loss the way they did. After all, it was gambled money" Justin said in disgust. "Dad still thinks he lost his $27 somewhere."

"Well, whatever happens. I think Ivy can help me getting payback." Jessica said confidently.

"Payback? From Chloe?" Asked Hannah.

"Yup!" She replied, popping the 'p'.

"Then we all be waiting for that to happen." Chuckled Hannah but it soon disappeared thinking about how she has been recently feeling about Clay. The guy they teased over petty things which anybody can easily ignore but Clay was a sensitive child. They were so naive to ignore the fact of how seriously he takes things.

At the same time, the whole football team stormed in the canteen, wearing their Jersey. They must have been given a break by coach as the match practice has been started with full enthusiasm.

"What the hell Justin?" Jessica nudged her arm at him. "Why aren't you up for practice? Haven't you practiced all summer by yourself? I'm sure coach would be impressed."

"Depressed, not impressed! Just like last time." Justin replied glumly, twitching his lips of the painful memory when the coach removed him from the team quoting that he needed more practice to play. It was actually a punishment for fighting with the student, then getting expelled for a month. Not just that he was even blamed for the match they lost two years back. "If it wasn't me, we would have won even in my freshman year. I mean who passes the ball to another team. Guess what? Me!"
