~CHAPTER FOUR

Recap- Cabir and Nandini's moment..manik and Nandini's fights..cabir meeting murty's..

It has been a week since Nandini got Manik's case. Both of them hated each other with equal passion. Nandini believed Manik to be a rich arrogant bastard who had no morals whatsoever whereas Manik considered Nandini an irritating doctor who poked her nose in other people's business unnecessarily.

Both of them had made their opinions on each other..and now the hate was increasing between them to a great level

Their dislike towards each other was quite evident to everybody.

Every time they would come face to face..they would argue or fight..

They just couldn't bear each other..

Nandini has also witnessed Aliya and Manik's regular fights.. and would feel bad for aliya..she always would see manik shouting on her..or make her feel low..and she would keep crying..

Nandini was going towards Manik's room for his daily check-up. She used to visit him at the end of her shift so that her bad mood caused by seeing his face doesn't affect her work.

Visiting Manik was the worst part of Nandini's day and she walked
towards his room filled with curse words coming from her soul towards Manik.

Today was no different, Nandini was imagining Manik running across his room because she had put ants in his pants and was laughing.

Suddenly a voice came from across the hall, Manik's room to be specific.

" Stop playing with my feelings!!"

Nandini recognised the voice as Alia's and started running towards the room. She reached the door but didn't enter, she didn't want to interfere.

" Shut up Alia! You are dumb if you think I have feelings for you." came Manik's voice, he was furious.

" If you don't have feelings for me then what have you been doing with me for the past two years?!"

" I don't know, you tell me. Did I ever say I love you? Did ever say I like you? Did I ever even call you ?! You are the one who always keeps following me, not the other way round."

" Manik.." It was Alia's voice, almost like a whisper. You can tell by the pain in her voice that she was crying.

" Get out Alia. I don't want to see your face."

" Manik doesn't give up on us. We will make it work, I will make it work.. please!"

"I'll make sure everything is according to u..plz don't leave me..I know right,how much I love u"

By now Alia was crying her heart out, sobbing and trying to save her relationship.

" Alia there is nothing to work out! Just leave!"

Manik's anger-filled scream was followed by breaking of something, a glass.

As soon as Nandini heard the breaking of glass, she went to open the door and was met by a dishevelled Alia.

Her eyes were red and puffy, tears stained her cheeks while her hands were shaking.

"Manik plz listen to me..our family are also involved..plz don't do this.."
She pleaded again

"Aliya...this is the last time I'm saying..leave..and u know..i don't care about anyone..nor your family.. neither mine..so just leave"He said..

She quickly made her way past Nandini and left the room.

Inside the room, Manik was sitting on the bed, his fists clenched and eyes set on the door while there were pieces of broken glass on the floor.Anger was visible in his full body.. veins been seen of his hands coz of his tight fist.. he's look was scary

Nandini was extremely angry and wanted to give Manik a piece of her mind but Alia was more important to her. She left the room and started searching for Alia.

In the last week, Nandini and Alia have become good friends. Alia was the only reason why Nandini was still handling Manik's case.

Nandini reached the end of the corridor and started looking for Alia.
She took a left turn and reached an emergency exit. She was just about to turn and leave when she heard the sound of someone crying. She started going downstairs.

Alia was there, sitting on the last stair. Her head was on her knees with her hands around them and she was crying.

The site made Nandini's heartbreak. Nandini silently sat beside Alia.

When Alia felt a presence beside her, she looked up and saw Nandini. She wiped her tears and tried to give a small smile, but failed.

Both of them were sitting in silence when suddenly Alia spoke," He is right, you know, he never said'' I love you "to me.

Never called also, I was the stupid one who kept following him. I thought he liked me, just didn't like expressing it. I was so wrong. i always thought what if he doesn't say..I know he's mine..he never talked to me..it was always me who would stick to him

Alia tried to laugh at the end but instead, tears started coming out. Nandini just wrapped her arms around Alia and tried to comfort her.

" You deserve better., '' said Nandini.

" I don't want better., '' said Alia and cried some more...in a really bad way.

Nandini didn't say anything after that, just kept rubbing Alia's back to comfort her.

Suddenly Alia's phone rang, she broke the hug and took out the phone from her pocket.

She looked at the caller ID and after that only one word left her mouth,

" Shit..."

"Oh..no.......it's my mum"
