Her Guardian Angel (Child! Ryoken x Child! Reader)

A small little girl name Y/n (M/n) L/n was only three years old when she and her mother moved to their new home, Den City.

But then, she got separate from her mother while exploring their new home. She was really scared since she didn't know anyone as she started to run through the crowded streets.

She ran as fast as she could and avoided any eye contacts with other people as she ran breathlessly, trying to run away from people with creepy smiles without knowing it was all her imagination.

'Little girl, are you lost?'

'Hey there, where'd you come from?'

'Are you looking for your mommy?'

Y/n continued to run with tears in her eyes as she yelled out, "Mommy, mommy!" But as she was running, she sees a boy and thought to herself, "Angel..?"

She noticed how the boy appears to be much older than her, he was about eight years old but she didn't care. She started to run towards him.

Meanwhile with the boy, he was walking alone in the streets until he felt a small tug on his sweater. He looks down and sees a small little girl grabbing onto him, "Mommy?" "Um, sorry but I'm not your mommy" The boy kindly reply as he continued to walk but little did he knew, the girl was following him. But when he sat on a bench, the boy noticed her sitting next to him and stared at him for a bit.

The boy noticed it and decided to break the silence, "What's your name?" "Y/n. I lost my mommy" Y/n answers. "I see." He replies until he noticed tears were forming in her eyes, "Mommy..." "Don't worry. I can help you find her" He quickly replies which calmed her down a bit as he patted her head. "I'm Ryoken Kogami. I don't think I've seen you before, are you new here?" "Yeah. I came here with my mommy" Y/n replied.

They stayed quiet for a bit until they heard a quiet sound coming from Y/n and it turns out, it came from her stomach, "Hungry..." She replies as she trembles. Ryoken laughed a bit as he grabs her small hand, "I guess we'll look for your mom after we eat, okay?" "Okay" They walked together as they went to stop by for some food. They sat on the table and waited for their food until it arrive.

But before they started to eat, Ryoken placed a handkerchief on Y/n's neck to prevent her from getting herself dirty. "There we go" "Thank you. L-L-L-Let's eat!" Replies Y/n as she took a bite of her food while Ryoken watched her with a smile. At some times, Ryoken wipes off pieces of food from Y/n's face so apparently, he acted like an older brother.

After eating, they began the search for the mother. They asked everyone in the city if they by any chance seen her mother, some have seen her but mostly, some didn't but they didn't gave up. They even head back to the streets where Y/n saw her mother before getting separated from her. During the search, Y/n stared at Ryoken for a bit as she picture him with wings and thought, "Angel..."

Hours passed, they've searched everywhere but no luck until they decided to take a break from all that walking and going around in circles. "Will we ever find my mommy?" "I hope so. My head is spinning from going in circles. But don't worry, we just have to keep looking" Ryoken responds. Y/n nodded as they sat quietly while taking a break but for Y/n, she felt tired as her eyes were slowly closing themselves. Ryoken notice it and laid her down on his lap as he brushed her hair with his hand until he heard a voice of a woman calling out for Y/n.

"Y/n! Where are you, Y/n? Y/n?!" This woke Y/n up as she gets up immediately, "Mommy?" "I think it's her, let's go" They follow the voice as they took the left turn and saw a woman looking around, all worriedly.

"Mommy!" When her mother heard her, she turns around and sees her with Ryoken, much to her relief. Y/n immediately ran to her with tears in her eyes, "Mommy!" "Y/n!" Her mother ran to her with her arms wide open as she hugs Y/n tightly for dear life which Y/n hugs back crying while Ryoken watched them with a smile. "Mommy!" "It's okay. Don't cry. Where were you?" Her mother asked which Y/n points at Ryoken, "Ryoken-San helped me!" Her mother approached to him and gently grabs his hand with a smile, "Ryoken, thank you so much for finding her!" "It was nothing. Really" Ryoken replies as her mother continued, "If it weren't for you, I don't know what I'll do if anything happens to her"

Ryoken smiled a bit until Y/n ran to him and gave him a hug which he returned the hug as well. "Thanks for helping me find my mommy, Ryoken-San!" "N-No problem at all, Y/n" He stutters for a bit he watched them leave until Y/n waved her hand at him, "Thank you! Bye-bye!" Ryoken waved goodbye as he watched them leave while Y/n looks back at him with a smile as she sees wings spreading out behind him. "Angel..."

~Weeks later~

Ryoken had been visiting Y/n and her mother always welcomed him with open arms as he takes Y/n to hang out and brings her back in the afternoon. In the afternoon, Ryoken was carring Y/n back home as she fell asleep in his arms. Y/n smiled during her sleep as she felt safe in the arms of her friend... who's like an angel... a guardian angel.
