The Runaway

(U/N) POV

Floor 74, we finally reached it, we're almost 3/4 done this game. Everyone seems to be in good spirits recently. The boss battles lately have been strangely easy.

Me and Liz were exploring the 74th floor. So far it seemed pretty mountainous. We were just chilling and killing mobs as we walked. Suddenly a giant dude bumps into me.

"Watch where you're going pip-squeak," he says as he continues clearly in a rush

" 'Scuse me," I say out loud for him to hear

"You heard me," he says as he looks back

"are you in a rush to get back to your boyfriend or what?" I insult him

"What did you say," He asks in an angry tone

"You heard me," I say mocking him

"Why you litt--" he starts to say but is cut off

"Omar, did you find that little shit!" Someone yells as they ask the big guy a question. Me and Liz look at each other putting together the pieces. The guy who called for Omar appeared by his side.

"Mach, let's deal with these guys before they cause us trouble," Omar says smirking

"What trouble do you speak of? are you by chance hunting someone down?" I ask with my hand reaching behind my back for my sword. Liz grabs her sword as well.

"Looks like you two are a feisty pair, but you stand no chance against us, I mean just look at you," Omar says referring be to his much bigger size.

"Don't hurt them!" A little girl yells coming from nowhere. She trips and lands between us and the other guys are about 100 meters away.

"There you are!" The guy called Mach yells

I see the little girl with tears in her eyes. She was about 7 or 8 and for some reason, these guys were chasing her, and she was scared for us. Are these guys pretty strong? I look at Liz to see her eyes are filled with desperation. I smirk to myself, let's blow the socks off these guys.

I start sprinting toward the girl, she was 50 meters away from me and the other guys, I had plenty of time.

"No! Stop!" The girl protests against my charge

"If you continue they will kill you!" She continues but her words are broken apart from sobs.

I Made sure she can see my smirk before I start. She sees it and is confused by my reaction. I then engage Bolt, as I pass her I can see her eyes follow my every step. Honestly the face of hope she had, made my day. I change my attention from her to the attackers. Once I reach them I immediately start Appearing Slash. I start cutting them without them seeing me and I guess they recognize my skills

"Omar, it's the Lightning Swordsmen, we don't stand a chance," Mach tells his partner

"Come on its only that little guy, he doesn't stand a chance!" Omar replies as he starts to swing his sword everywhere. Dumb move

As my Appearing Slash skills begins to end I jump toward a tree and use Flash to blind them and create speed. I destroyed the tree that I Jumped off of. Once I reached Omar I started Invisible Blade and sent him flying once it connected. He was down after a hit like that and his partner cowered in fear as I let the cool-down times start and end.
