The Lightning Swordsman (Book 1)

Guild Hall

After Jam purchased the hall, the old lady went on her way.

"Well I think the partners who found this place should be the first to walk inside," Jam says to us

Liz and I look at each other with grins. I guess that fact that we'd be the first to walk in was kinda exciting. I walked up to the doors and placed my hand on one, Liz did the same. Then with one final grin, we both thrust the doors open.

What happened next was surprising. Before our eyes, the whole hall seemingly changed. It went from a rough-looking building to one that looked like it could belong on a floor much higher than this one in seconds. Everyone's eyes were sparkling and Qweeps mouth was sagging to the ground. I look for the old lady, I feel like we ripped her off for something that should have been 2'000'000 col. I caught a glimpse and all I could see was a smile on her face.

Liz took the first step into the building, after her I went. Looking around, the hall had a crazy good wood finish. Not only that but it looked a lot smiler then it actually was, it could hold up to 50 players easy.

"Looks like you picked a great choice," Fuji says like a normal person

"A perfect place for a knight like Harry" She continues back to her usual self

"Harry you shall be the protector of this kingdom" I tease him in a manly voice

He, of course, gets flustered and goes looking around on his own. The front door leads to a dining table that can hold about 20 people. From there it diverges into two wings. Left is living space and the right is practical space. The living quarters has 15 rooms since we only have 8 people, the rest are spares or for another member if they need more space. The practical quarters holds an arena that is decent in size. Also, we have the average gym you would find in real life and other rooms like smithing, a kitchen and a library.

Since I'd never owned a room I didn't have any personal belongings to move. The same can't be said for Qweep and Jam. Qweep had a shit ton of useless stuff, and Jam had everything a girl would want in SAO. The rest of us stood around as they dumped everything in their inventories.

"Interesting" Liz says as she goes through some of Jams stuff.

"I didn't even know half this stuff was in SAO" Liz continues

"You can't stop a girls shopping power ok" Jam replies

"So I noticed there was a kitchen in the right-wing, can any of you cook," Punisher asks the girls

All the girls suddenly went gloom," I haven't bothered with that skill" all the girls say

"Wow good thing I've put some levels in it," he tells them back

Suddenly Jam had hearts in her eyes and grabbed Punisher's hands.

"Really," she says excitedly

"Can you make strawberry cake!" She asks him

"I'm, I'm not sure but I can try it," he tells her

"O my God, o my god. Strawberry cake! If you make it I would love you forever" she jumbles out quickly

Punisher just smiles as he says "well let's look at the kitchen and see what we need to buy then we can eat homemade food and not the crap the NPCs sell."

He wonders off with Jam practically attached to him.

"Never would I think that guy would cook" Says Looky

"He certainly doesn't look like it" I agree

"Just prove that you can't judge people on their appearances," says Liz

I smile as I come up with an idea

"You know, I can judge this one," I say with an evil smirk.

"Fuji, I think Harry is feeling lonely, you should find him and give him a peck on the cheek," I ask Harry

"Really? I didn't know, I'll find him right away" Fuji says surprised and filled with determination.

"(U/N) your gonna kill the poor guy" Liz tells me

"Na, he is Fujis knight in shining armour, he can't go dying until she is out of this game," I say back

Liz laughs a bit " I guess so huh, I think I'm going to check up on the cake situation, it's been away since I had any"

" Cya, I think I'm going to buy new gear, mines a little old" I announce

I leave the guildhall and travel to floor 27 for the best equipment. As I look around I see a lump of black. The hell? I go to find out what it is and find Kirito strolling around.

"Hey your that kid from the boss fight" I talk out to him.

"Huh," he says as he looks behind himself.

When he faced me it seemed he was having a rough day. He had bags under his eyes and in general, looked like crap

"Yo, dude what's up?" I ask him

"Huh nothing, you that guy who did that crazy fast move on the 1st floor," He says as he remembers me

"Yea that's right, what happened, you look like you went to hell and back," I ask him

"O, this, this is nothing" he was with a fake smile.

"If you need anything, just talk to people," I tell him. " It truly works" I finish

"Yea, maybe I'll take that advice," Kirito says

"Done deal, don't go dying well ya?" I tell him as he walks away

"Never," he says as he turns the corner

I wonder what happened to him, he looked like a ghost. I continue my search for the equipment I want. Finally, I come across a beautiful 2 handed sword, when I check its stats I'm surprised it has double the damage than my current weapon. Mine must be older then I thought. I go to buy but I came across another sword. This one is one-handed, so in normal circumstances, it would be useless to me, as I have all my skills for 2-handed swords. But I remember a certain someone's old sword and how they really need an upgrade. So instead of one, I bought two swords.

Next up is armour. Usually, I stick to padded armour because it has a decent defence and it's easy to move in. Scrolling once again in taps for trader I find an amazing set. It must be my lucky day. First the Guild, then the guildhall! And now armour. Before my eyes is an exclusive set of armour that as you level up, its stats will increase with yours. Wow, if I bought this I'd never need another set of armour again, the only thing is it's not cheap. In fact, the reason why it's not gone already is because of the price tag. 1'000'000 col, that's quite a bit

Ever since I've never spent much col, I have 3'000'000. Put many on of the assault team need to consistently buy new equipment as theirs breaks with use. Lucky day I guess, I say as I buy it. As I walk back I can't help but overhear someone rushing with 1'000'000 col to buy a rare item. First come first serve, I repeat in my head.

I teleport back to floor 23 and make my way back to the guild

When I enter all I can smell is

The aroma of a cake.
