I remember when I was younger,
I would dream about myself living on the beach or
falling in love with my crush.
Something that stood out to me was,
those dreams were about me, but
I had light skin.
I was white and I had blonde hair.
Just like Barbie,
that was fake.
Unrealistic.
Now that I'm older,
I see myself as someone else,
but someone I could be.
My characters I design or talk about,
I could be some of them because
they have dark skin,
they are strong,
physically
and mentally.
They have personality traits similar to mine.
That's who I want to be.
Beautiful.
Strong.
Something about my characters,
that I've noticed is,
Dark skin and white hair.
I think that's beautiful.
Like Storm from X-Men.
Or Kida from Atlantis.
Some of my characters are heroes.
They fight evil or try to save them.
Some of my characters hurt people.
Just for fun.
They are filled with rage and bloodthirst.
Some are in between who save the good and punish the bad.
Sometimes they are just caught in between the crossfire.
Trying to fight another day.
