Teddy's POV
(He is 16 and Victoire is 15)

It was Christmas, and, as usual, we were spending a few days at the Burrow. Since the youngest cousins, Lily and Hugo, were 7, we could do things that we couldn't when they were younger because they could get hurt, like play quiddich and go ice skating.
The adults decided to take us to a muggle ice skate area, and of course, everyone was very excited, but, for some reason, Vic didn't seem to be happy about it. When we were leaving, she wasn't looking unhappy, but a bit nervous. I couldn't help but notice how pretty she was in those winter clothes. She had skinny jeans and a long sleeved shirt. She was also holding a jacket and a scarf, because it was way colder outside. I had my jeans and a long sleeved shirt, with a jacket in my arms. I had my hair green, matching the shirt. Once we arrived at the ice skating field, everyone (even the parents!) put their skates on and ran to the field. Victoire was still trying to figure out how to put the skates on. I walked to her and asked:
"-What's the problem, Vic?"
She looked at me and said, kind of embarrassed:
"- You promise you won't laugh?"
I nodded. "I can't ice skate" She told me and I held back the laughter. How come she couldn't ice skate? I thought her parents had taught her.
She saw my face and said:
"-See? I knew you would laugh at me! It's not my fault I was scared of getting hurt when I was younger and never tried an ice skate on! Even Lily and Hugo can ice skate and I can't!" She looked like she was about to cry of embarrassment and anger when she stormed off, going to a tree a few meters away and sitting, hugging her knees. I could feel all of the adults' eyes on my back as I ran after her and sat by her side. Since she refused to talk to me, I said:
"-Hey Vic, don't be mad... I was just surprised, I'm really sorry, I never thought it would make you sad. If I knew, I'm sure I wouldn't have laughed!". She looked at me. "Okay, maybe I overreacted." She said. "I am just tired of Domi and Louis making fun of me every winter, when the whole family goes ice skating and I sit there, alone." I felt sorry for her, when an idea popped in my mind. "Why don't I teach you?" I asked her excitedly. She immediately answered:
"- No, no, no, no! No way! I will fall, and get hurt, and I could die an-" I cut her off by laughing at her panic.
"Calm down, Vic" I said, still laughing "You won't get hurt because I will be there with you"
As I closed my mouth, she looked at me and smiled. I smiled at her too, and then an awfully familiar song came to my ears. "Vic and Teddy, sitting on a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love, then marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage" chorused our cousins, being leaded by Uncle George, of course. I blushed and so did Vic, and they all laughed at our red faces. I got up and helped her to do the same.
We walked to where the skates were and I quickly put mines on, as Vic struggled to put hers. After almost 10 minutes, she managed to put on the ice skated and we went to the field, and she was holding on the little door as if her life depended of it. I laughed and pulled her, making her let go of the door. "Teddy, I can't do this, I will fall and get hurt" she said. I answered:
"- No you won't. I'm here and I won't let you fall. I offered my arm for her to hold, and she quickly did, scared of falling. I started skating slowly as she held on to my arm for dear life, but followed me.
A little longer than an hour later, she was skating very well, but was still holding my arm. "Do you think you can skate by your own now?" I asked her. "I don't know, I'll give it a try." She said, and slowly let go of my arm. She successfully skated a few meters, but suddenly fall on her butt. "Are you okay?" I asked as I rushed to her side. "Yes, it was fun" she laughed " But your concerned face is funny"
I looked at her and and helped her up. "Hahah, very funny" I said "But you learned! You can skate on your own!"
She looked at me and gave me a hug. "Thanks Teddy" she said "But I'm still kind of scared to do it on my own... Can you stay with me until I'm not so insecure?" I smiled and said:
"-Of course. Come on, let's play with Lily and Hugo." I pointed to the two kids, who were playing tag by theirselves, not skating so fast.
"Okay" she said "Let's go!" She skated to where they were, with me close behind her. She is so beautiful. I don't think she notices, but every time I'm with her I change my hair color to bright blue, the color of her eyes. I love her eyes so much, they are gorgeous. So is she... Yes, I like her. But I will never be her boyfriend, I'm pretty sure she doesn't like me and we are cousins. And beside everything, she is my best friend.
Oh, how I wish I was more than her favorite cousin and best friend...
