Lina, otherwise known as Choi Sarang, is a soloist under BigHit Entrainment. Lina is known for her visuals, honey vocals, and height.

Lina rarely mentions her family background, as people always assume she is rich. She has said that's she's been fortunate to have been born into a comfortable lifestyle. It was late revealed by her mother that Lina actually came from a very known family. Although, Lina is a celebrity, her family on its own are somewhat celebrities prior to her official debut.

Her father, Choi Jun, is a former volleyball player turned businessman, as he is known to own multiple buildings and the owner of a famous sports brand. He is known to be a very generous man as often donates to charity. Lina has stated that she didn't known that her father used to play volleyball until her brother joined volleyball. Her father comes from an athletic family; Olympic medalists and top players in their field.

Her mother, Kim Soo-ah, exactly comes from a very noble artistic and musical family.

Lina's maternal grandmother was the owner of various art galleries in China and Korea; which now Lina, Seojun, and their mother own now.

While her grandfather is a well-known pianist in the musical world as he is known to be one of the most famous classical music teachers and pianists. However, Lina's mother strayed away from the art and music scene and owns a number of cafes that are extremely popular in South Korea. Her cafes are regularly visited by fans; both STARs and longtime fans of the family.

As for her brother, Choi Seojun, not much was known about him except for the fact he is her older twin brother and Mia is quite close to him. However, Seojun's fans made the connection that they were in fact siblings. Her brother, Choi Seojun, has followed in their father's footsteps and has been playing volleyball ever since he was 7. Her brother is a volleyball player at his university with the position of setter. Her brother is known to be a great setter and he attends a university in Korea as he is interested in joining a Korean professional team. Seojun is also actually quite talented in music and art as well. On his Instagram, he is known to take pictures of scenery and likes to travel during any chance he gets alongside his volleyball pictures. Mia has even stated that her brother has helped her compose some songs and given her advice but she hasn't said which ones.

As Mia says her family prefers their privacy, she has never mentioned her parents unless needed but her brother is known because of volleyball as the association was made which Mia later confirmed the fact by posting a video of them playing volleyball together.

Her brother's nickname is "King" as he is said to be an ace setter who is an all-rounder. However, Lina just calls him "King" since she says that Seojun reminds her of a mix between Kageyama Tobio and Oikawa Toru.

Lina's family is also very tall as both her father and brother are over 190 cm tall and her mother is 170 cm tall. The popularity of Lina's family is known to those in art and classical music as well as the athletic world. Lina never revealed her family since they're all very popular on their own.

Lina also has two male cousins which she says she is extremely close and they also happened to be athletes.

Her cousin, Choi Jinwoo, is a swimmer on the national team.

Her other cousin Choi Junhyuk, is a professional soccer player, who is also on the national team.

Jinwoo and Junhyuk also happen to be fraternal twins who happen to be born in the same year as Lina and Seojun expect Jinwoo and Junhyuk were born in late January. Lina has posted many times which them. The cute interactions between cousins always have their fans wanting more. Both of their brights are also over 190 cm.
