As the clock ticked closer to the grand ball, Theo and Blaise burst through the door, signaling the start of our preparations. Following our whirlwind shopping spree in Hogsmeade, Ginny took on the role of stylist extraordinaire, guiding me through the maze of gowns until we found the perfect one.

Finally, dressed and standing before the mirror, I couldn't help but let out a gasp of amazement. The gown we settled on, a stunning royal blue corset mermaid dress, clung to my figure like it was made for me. Sparkling diamonds adorned the bodice, adding a touch of sparkle. The skirt flared out into a mesmerizing mermaid tail, with a train that seemed to stretch for miles behind me, giving me an enchanting aura.

I add satin royal blue gloves to complete the look. My hair is sleek and straight, I feel like I have stepped out of a dream. And when Draco walks in, his eyes nearly pop out of his head.

"Wow, you look amazing Hermione!" He said, his voice full of admiration as he took in the sight. I couldn't help but grin and give him a quick peck on the cheek.

"You're not looking too bad yourself," I teased, taking in his dapper appearance in a matching blue tuxedo. With a silver boutonneire that matched the diamonds on my dress, he looked every bit the dashing prince.

"Mother and Father are waiting for us to enter the ball. We should probably hurry," He mutters, before pressing a quick kiss to my lips.

"Let's not keep them waiting," I reply, intertwining his hand with mine and hurrying us down the steps. "How did the talk with your father go?"

"It went well. We came to a mutual understanding and respect for each other. He's going to try at the very least," Draco says.

Before long, we reached the entrance to the ballroom, where Lucius and Narcissa greeted us.

Finally, Draco, you look handsome. And, Hermione you look gorgeous, sweetheart," Narcissa grins at us, her eyes roaming approvingly across my dress.

"Thank you, you look impeccable," I smile back She's wearing a floor-length blue ball gown to match the tux Lucius is wearing.

As the door opened, Narcissa and Lucius entered first, followed quickly by Draco and me. Everyone turned and admired as we entered and I couldn't help but want to shy away from all the attention. Draco gently grabs my elbow and whispers in my ear, "If you want to leave early, just say the word. I have something I want to show you anyway."

I nod and smile at him, before shooing him off to go greet guests with his parents.

As the night unfolded, Draco mingled effortlessly with the crowd, leaving me momentarily on my own. But it wasn't long before Pansy appeared at my side, her mischievous grin signaling she was up to no good.

"How's the debutante holding up?" she teased, her eyes dancing with excitement.

"Debutante?" I questioned, sounding more amused than confused.
