Lucas' pov
I have been waiting for Maya to come and tell me the news. She should be arriving any time now. Urg come faster is all I've been yelling in my mind. About 5 second later there was a knock at the door. I rushed over to get it

"Hey bro" It was Austin

"Oh its you" I say with disappointment

"Great to see you buddy, and thanks for the warm welcome" he says with sarcasm and I chuckle a bit

"So you going to invite me in" He asks rocking back and forth on his heels

"Right sorry" I step aside and he walks in and takes a spot on the couch

"So why are you here" I ask taking a spot next to him

"What I cant come to see how my bro is doing" He says

"Well knowing you, you always have a reason for coming over so what is it" I reply

"Fine you caught me" he says putting his hands up in surrender

"Ok so...." I urge him to go on

"Whats your plan on dumping the nerd" He says and my eyes widen. I totally forgot that this was a bet

"Oh i haven't really thought about it" I say looking away

"You haven't thought about it, dude the dance is next week" he exclaimed

"I know, I know" I say waving him off

"So has she fallin for you yet" he asks nudging me with his elbow

"Yup I got her right where I want her" I say with a smirk but frowning on the inside

"Good job my man" He says giving me a high five

"This dance will be awesome, and I cant wait to see the look on that nerds face when you break her heart" he says as he starts to laugh

"I know right its going to hilarious

"Lucas" Says a voice I've come to love

I look over at the door way in time to see Maya with a tear streaming down her face and bolting out the door.
